Has anyone else had this issue of showing on line pretty much all the time even when you are not on here. It’s getting frustrating

Yes us. I think it's because we leave it logged in on our phones.

I assume you show online if you don't log out. I don't log out but doesn't mean I'm on reading and chatting or whatever constantly.. just means I haven't logged out. Mostly I'm logged out automatically by the site after a short time ..

The only time it's ever really been a problem was when a couple accused us of always being online but never answering to their meets.

It was someone quite a while ago who was miffed with me as it showed I was online but I hadn’t been on all day

Yes it would be a great thing if you could choose to hide the fact your online like another popular social media app!

This has hsppened on several occasions to me. Been accused of not replying or ignoring. I work from home so i usually log on in the morning check updates and check in with some friends. I then get sidetracked and put phone down not logging out.

Even put a bit in profile but who ever reads them anyway x

Some folk may have time to be on all day but i have a life x

use a different browser on your phone to browse the usual non fab web sites and even if you have fab still open in your other browser it will not be online and because there is no activity on your account the servers will pop you off them.tried and tested with a second account using a different browser.when you do reopen your browser with your fab account it will reactivate showing you online. have also tested leaving it open but just opened a fresh tab and as ya know you can switch between tabs and aslong as the tab where you have your fab account is not open it will kick you off their servers.

So do you need to actually hit log out or is it enough to visit a different website before closing the browser?

have left my browser open but minimised and opened the other browser and within around ten minutes it says we are offline..pull the minimised browser back up and it then says we are online...we never ever click the log out button

I was under the impression that when you use mobiles to login, that your account showed you as offline after a specific time period of inactivity. I'd guessed it may be 30 minutes or so. I've not read the whole thread yet

I never log out. That's how the interweb works.

If you stay logged in it shows as online.

But getting grief for being online and not replying is the exact reason why I'm so careful make sure I log off now
