Among the options to report a profile one of them says "Arranged meet did not show up”.
This is asked again and again by users but moderators never seem to provide an answer, they simply close the thread and then they post a standard message that does not answer it at all about how to report and what to expect if reporting.
So, for clarity, we do not have anything or anyone to report. Just want to understand, if any moderator could explain what specific Fab rule is being broken if that happens? It's there actually a rule involving users not turning up to an agreed meet?
And by the way...Where's the list of site rules?... Is it the Terms link at the bottom of the Fab website?
Thanks BTW to Mods for keeping the site civil and safe. |

I’ve never noticed that option before and it’s a great question OP, if there is a rule that states ‘you must turn up to an arranged meet’ then I don’t think it’s a very fair rule to have in place and it’s also a very difficult rule to enforce.
Someone could have a genuine reason for not attending a meet so it would be unfair to punish someone if it was unavoidable.
Do the moderators research whether a meet was actually arranged and/or whether a valid reason was given for not attending? Is it possible to be reported for not attending an arranged meet even if a meet wasn’t arranged? Maybe if someone is annoyed with you for some reason they could report you for it out of spite.
Do the moderators allow the person who’s been reported for not attending an arranged meet to defend themselves and explain their reasons for not attending or explain that a meet wasn’t even arranged if that is the case? |

I doubt it, you don't get e right to reply to any other accusation. |

I don't have any esoteric knowledge but if I was running the website I'd probably let those reports accumulate and if a profile gets a good amount of them I'd begin investigating.
I'll normally report an account for not meeting if I get stood up with no warning. A 'sorry I can't make it something came up' is always fine though. |

Thanks everyone for posting, so far. You all make good points. Agreed, a simple message saying "I can't meet" or "have changed my mind" would be great, so the other person does not waste time preparing for, and attending, a meeting that is never happening.
I personally find those doing it despicable (thankfully it has never happened to us so far), but still unsure which specific Fab rule is being broken?
And what's the punishment from Admin, if any? |
