It's a difficult question to answer op. There are some organised socials but if you're shy they probably aren't a good way to meet people.

I am quite shy at first meeting people. But I have found that going on camping sites that are mentioned sometimes on here has helped. Find a site where many from Fab go and just see who is about. It is a good way to meet because people are relaxed.

I find a little (don't be a piss head) booze and throwing yourself into the club scene and just vibing helps.

It's just like jumping into a cold pool. Once your in your like 'oh wow, this is good'

As someone who gets shy sometimes, it helps me.

I think this can be made easier by frequency of exposure to socials. Expect nerves to be sky high with the first one (if that’s your baseline), but my the 5th or 6th you should find your flow maybe. There’ll always be an element of nerves mixed with excitement all the time though. Try to feel it rather than fight it. Breathwork is also good to calm anxiety, there’s plenty of YouTube videos on techniques.
