We seem to get quite a bit of hate (usually from white people) for our desire to find only black men for Miss to play with.

Why is this?

And why is it that only white people have a problem with us looking for and using the term "BBC"?

White men usually... Or the male half on a couples profile usually get upset about it.

We want our first swap experience to be with a Black man and somehow, that's racist?!!

Some black folks will have a problem with the term too. From previous responses on this topic, BBC is a reductive term. Theres nothing wrong with wanting to meet black guys but not all black men have the stereotypical big black cock, not all black guys want to be used because they have a BBC. Theres more to a person than genitals?! Some guys of course love it, it gets them attention and meets so they’ll play on it. Also if you’re excluding white men (who are equally as well endowed) for black men, its that thing about not being excluded. Also if its your preference then do as you will. Its a multi faceted topic. If you search forums for other threads about BBC you’ll find more articulate explanations. Xxx

That makes total sense, thank you!

We don't use the term to cause offense... Just that our preference for now is to find a black man with a big cock. That's probably more common than white men

This... for those who do find offense (those in all races) is because it boils the man down to his genitals and pushes further fetishism of the person based on their skin colour and genitals rather than seeing them as a person.

Inshort, it feeds into race play

Not my opinion. I'm not a man so it's not my battle to speak an opinion on (I tend to just keep to what concerns me)

Some black men don't mind it, others do and opt not to be known as BBC or other. Same as white men who hear the term, some don't mind others find it offensive

I had never heard of it until a few years ago I had a few messages from black guys on dating sites asking if liked BBC and I'm baffled thinking why asking me about TV channels

I know a lot of black men who are not offended but the term and happily use it.

I also know plenty of black men who don't like the term BBC. I've seen people say if you use the term BBC you will be blocked

Fetishing race and using racial stereotypes can cause offense. It's OK for anyone to be offended by that.

I would say people make it about race.

For example, if i was blindfolded in a dark room, and 2 men similar in everything apart from one was black and one was white, both well endowed, fucked me. I would just know that i had had 2 portions of big dick. I wouldn't know one was white or black. The focus would be the dick size?

If i saw those 2 men and chose the black man over the white man or vice versa - some might argue its preference, some might argue its racially fuelled. Which feeds into the fetishization etc.

Here and There

Unless you’re specifically into race play and fetishisation it would be better for you to refrain from using that kind of language. You’ll appeal to a wider audience.

I exclusively play with black men but don’t go in for that kind of language and know lots of men who don’t entertain it as they find it offensive.

If you’ve never played with a black man before you do need to realise that not all of them have large cocks though If you’re looking for someone super hung you’re as likely to find that with a white guy

Well said. I was in a little group thing few months ago with a some others including a black man. He really didn’t like the BBC term and was average sized. Saying that guess the term works for some but need to be aware that some won’t like and no need to insult others in the process.

"Yeah, how exactly is it racist? I'd say it was the opposite, some people always find somthing to complain about. "

Sorry to point this out but…

Racism: the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.

Racism isn’t just “anti black”. Any race can be guilty of racism against any other race, examples of it are all over the world.

We humans are really good at finding reasons to exclude or otherwise marginalise someone.

We all have our likes and dislikes, what turns one of us on may not turn someone else on and I’m not going to call you out for expressing a preference.

Personally I’m much more interested in a woman’s character, or if they make me laugh than any specific physical characteristic.

Its about as racist as someone saying they won't meet people of colour. It's personal preference and everyone is entitled to their own preference and if you don't like it just move along and try elsewhere. For us single males have a problem that we don't want to meet them whereas it's just our preference

Wanting to have sex with a black man because you think he’s attractive is very different to referring to black men as BBC’s, or saying you’re looking for BBC’s. Language is important

I would argue because this topic has come up before, that you are turning off as many of your target audience as you are encouraging them.

I’m sure you’re going to get all the couples letting you know it isn’t racist.

As has been pointed out several times in this, personal preference based on ethnicity is down to the individual person. But it’s the language that’s used that is the Fetishisation.

Another term on here is BBW. If your preference is for a larger woman, that’s fine. But, when you strip that person down to just being “big” and remove the rest of the identity just for your sexual satisfaction, that is fetishisation.

A) statistically… that actually isn’t true (there is no difference)

B) if you want to find a black man with a big cock, why don’t you just put that you are looking for a black man with a big cock… that clearer, more specific and not offending anyone.

For some that acronym has taboo and fetishisation elements attached to it, that’s why language in any is important

Some people will love it and won’t mind it… however I always say to them don’t complain about the double edged sword and throw out the race card if they don’t say yes

For others it will always be a dignity thing… people are more than just a BBC and aren’t prepared to trade it in for sex

As a said in my other post is can be seen as a divisive generalisation and stereotype and can turn off as many people as it turns on

If language can widen your pool of potential playmates I don’t see why not take advantage of that opportunity

Lots of sensible people have made very eloquent answers above... so I'll try not so waffle.

Op- if you're looking for a big cock- just say that. Then you won't risk offending anyone and it is specific to what you're looking for.

Unless you're then preference is black men- then maybe say that too.

Otherwise you're losing out on some potentially endowed willies of other races - and really- who wants to Miss out on good dick

"It’s just the snowflake generation / modern society where people get offended by everything and people even get offended on behalf of other people .

I personally don’t see anything wrong with the term and if that’s your preference sex wise you are entitled to that preference . "

Well i think this in some cases is people being offended on behalf of themselves not others. There are back men being offended. Ditto with with fat old white man comment. It’s fine going around causing offence but also sometimes good as decent respectful human to be aware of how others feel about your language and sometimes adapt accordingly. Well unless you are somebody you just gets great joy from offending people and making them feel bad - and definitely some of those around.

For me, it’s fine to have a preference, but in my mind reducing someone (or allowing yourself to be minimised) to BBC/BWC is race fetishisation and completely gives me the ick. I include any Queen of Spades / QOS mention in that too. It’s just not for me, so I move on.

For me, it’s the difference between a preference, and having zero interest in the person except for their curviness/BBW-ability/BBC or whatever. That’s where it crosses the line.

It’s someone’s preference . Same as if some one says on their profile they are looking for big girls only or tall dark and handsome , or gym fit only or skinny women only or bi couples . It’s their preference . It doesn’t mean they are racist it doesn’t mean they are degrading anyone . If the couple want a big black cock let them . It’s no one’s business but theirs . And if someone is offended by it they should just keep scrolling , it has nothing to do with them . Everyone is entitled to be sexually attracted and desire certain things and if the men with big black cocks are happy to oblige and be called that then fair play to them . They are in luck

If that couple were to say they only wanted black men - that could be conceived as racist .

If they said only white men - it could be seen as racist .

They have a specific kink for black men with big cocks . There is no other way of asking for that than saying “looking for bbc” . I don’t believe they are intending to insult or degrade anyone or bring racist connertations into it

There is another way to say it. They could just say ‘Seeking VWE black men’. When so many people are arguing that the term BBC can be offensive, why would anyone use it? You can see from this post and the many others in here that lots of black people do find it offensive. Saying ‘I didn’t mean to offend anyone and there are no racist connotations’ doesn’t wash when so many black people say they’re offended. Insisting that you, as a white man, know better is wild.

We all use terms that someone might find offensive, a woman with beautiful curves had a go at me in a club for using the term bbw.

Your suggestion was just a play on words . It means the exact same thing . I have read the thread . Initially the poster stated it was white men who seemed to have the issue with their preference . Some people seemed to be of the view that black men were being used because of their big cocks by this couple . Whether you say VWE black man or bbc it means the same thing . This is a swinging sex site - everyone is using other people for sex and their fantasies . So using a black man with a big cock or a gym fit couple or an emo girl just because of their looks and body shape etc is the same . Everyone is being used on this site to fulfill others sexual needs

You may think it's the same thing and words don't matter but plenty don't see it as such and don't like the term, including many black men. I met a black men recently who hates the term. Of course perhaps it doesn't matter and people can scroll by. The other point of view is that if certain people don't like certain terms as a decent human being you can decide to use other words and not cause offence for the sake of it. Swinging is about a bit more than pure transactional swap of body parts to fulfil a need.

Not really the same thing. You can buy a big black cock in the shop. Its just an appendage, an item, easily dismissed. A well endowed black man implies you’re looking for a person and actual man, someone with energy and personality whos enhancing your sexual encounter yes because he has a big dick but also some humanity.

No one is objecting to the couple wanting to have sex with black men. They don’t need their ‘rights’ defending on that front.

The majority of the conversation is around their insistence on using the term BBC when people have pointed out to them (both black and white) that the term is perceived by many to be unpleasant and why. You appear to be defending that right too whilst ignoring the clear, intelligent explanations about it and that’s the problem.

For me it’s the fact that people are pretending as well that on top of the problematic history of the term, that white people on here don’t use BBC when they mean black men. Saying they’re looking for VWE Black guys would require them to recognise Black men as humans and not just objects for their sexual pleasure or fantasies. For example I don’t get asked if I have a BBC I get asked if I *AM* a BBC.

"We seem to get quite a bit of hate (usually from white people) for our desire to find only black men for Miss to play with.

Why is this?

And why is it that only white people have a problem with us looking for and using the term "BBC"?

Xxx"

At the end of the day it should be about individual preference, although some get offended at profiles that say 'white only' - and there are plenty of those too.

In the end the written word often needs choosing carefully, so it works both ways. Unless we tread carefully (i.e. respectfully) in the approach there shouldn't be any offence taken, but if we don't then we deserve all we get. Of course this doesn't include people getting pissy about things just because they're excluded.

It's often noticeable that people who's preferences exclude a black or Asian guy tend to be better/more thoughtfully put as it's easy to have that consideration come to mind due to racially inflammatory connotations, but we may not think that so readily in excluding someone who's white, but surely it has equal importance in terms of not risking giving offence. Respect should be universal in this world. (Not suggesting that's you by the way - I'm generalising). Humans are humans, irrespective of race or culture.

If we say 'Black's only' it may sound harsh/rude, but if we say 'Our/my preference is for black guys only thank you' it may be potentially less inflammatory.

Just an opinion.

There's nothing to chastise, some people have an issue with the term and some don't. Obviously the person in question doesn't have an issue with it.

However there's a difference between not having an issue with it and referring to those who do as "snowflakes"

You seem to have more of an issue with the term snowflakes than BBC. And likewise it’s an issue than doesn’t affect you just like me . "

Race fetishising does affect me

All they need to explain is that they don't have an issue with the term, which is upto them, they don't have to explain themselves. The same way that people who do have an issue with it shouldn't have to explain themselves either

Really???

When your name is on, say job application, do people think 'no' straight away?

If you're sat on public transport, before you have even spoken, do people chose a different seat?

If and when you decide to have kids do you have to consider the area you live in or the experiences your child is going to have growing up?

I'll bet its a no to all of these. However these are so of the things black people are going through in 2023 so it's not untrue is it. It may have nothing to do with the original post but it's very true regarding the outdated comparison you're trying to make.

Not only some white people have a problem with the term “bbc” but some black people. I think you have to be true to what you want and trust that there are other people who share your interests. And then get on with your pleasure.

"...

We don't use the term to cause offense... Just that our preference for now is to find a black man with a big cock. That's probably more common than white men"

To us, the issue is not that anyone feels more attracted to a particular ethnicity (or viceversa), which is fine. It is the way profiles describe what they are looking for: "we are looking for a unicorn"... "A phat ass", a "wet c++t", "a ginger pussy" a "BBC". It does not sound to us like those profiles are looking for a person, sound like looking for an object to use.

Having said that, we do not hate nor object to people using those terms, so the above is one of many explanations why some people might not like the term BBC.

If you were looking for a black guy… would you ever use the “N” word in your descriptor?

The problem has never been the preference…..

I just don’t see that if you are looking for a “black guy with a big cock” …. Then just say you are looking for a black guy with a big cock!

Last I checked fab doesn’t charge by the word… and I don’t think those few extra clicks are going to give you writers cramp!

"It’s just the snowflake generation / modern society where people get offended by everything and people even get offended on behalf of other people .

I personally don’t see anything wrong with the term and if that’s your preference sex wise you are entitled to that preference .

Brilliantly put!

In this day and age many are happy to offend, but we betide anyone says anything they don't like. It's the way of things on 2023, but makes it easier to avoid those who display those kind of double standards.

It's important to note that some white people think it's OK to use the N word in a sexual conversation, similar to race play

I've had numerous white men on here make reference my "ni99a pussy" and when I highlight the meaning of the word they tell me I'm being sensitive because "they're obviously not racist"

Yes but it is more nuanced, although it seems these days nuance demands too much of people in this instant gratification society of ours.

Language changes over time, and it is important to remember that many people innocently use a term genuinely believing it to be acceptable within a given context. I would put money on it that many people believe BBC to be acceptable by all in a swinging context. If a term like this becomes unacceptable, as have many terms over time to describe disability and race for example, then that usage will decline. But you cannot deny that the term BBC has been widely used and it is by no means obvious to most that it is considered unacceptable.

Debates like this serve to inform and educate though, and if there is enough push back then use of the term will decline. But it is wrong to tar everyone with the same brush, for example equating the use of the term BBC with that of the N word, as the vast majority mean no offence and probably thought they were using ‘industry standard’ terminology within the swinging scene.

I also have to question some of the viewpoints above in that they seem to ignore the fact the term has a dual component allowing those using it to express two preferences they have. It isn’t always about the assumption all black men are well endowed, or indeed that white men arent, it’s about the combination of the two attributes inherent in the term that a particular person using it might be seeking.

As I said, it’s about nuance and, at the risk of being shot down, things aren’t always as black and white as they might first seem.

Society has become more polarised and intolerant, but I tend to assume people have the best of intentions in their speech and actions until the contrary is apparent. If tolerance and positivity is required anywhere, surely it must be on a site like this.

I’m not saying that’s a good term. I don’t like it either and it’s really cringe to me. But like the comparisons with the term BBW, it misses the fact that the term BBC is rooted in *historically* racist stereotypes that have been used to violently oppress Black men. It’s more than just about it reducing Black men to their penis

There’s no ‘hate’ from me when I read a profile stating a preference for ‘BBC’, just a block.

For me, if you messaged asking for a meet, the fact I see you prefer BBC tells me you can’t find a black guy, so I’ll always feel like a ‘Plan b’….

Could not agree more with everything said in regards to use of language putting off potential suitors.

There’s some very lovely profiles I’ve seen who state a preference for black men however, the second I see that acronym used to describe me, I instantly assume that all they care about is my is the size of my appendage and nothing else so tend to pass them by.

The negative stereotypes, connotations and non-inclusivity it promotes doesn’t sit right with me either. So as said before, if you want a black man WITH a big penis then it’s probably best to explicit state that so those who feel they don’t fit the criteria or want to be associated with all that can use it as a filter.

What I would say though, we get an awful lot of black men messaging us using the term, if people want to educate, it's them who you should be targeting.

As a black man or man of colour that uses the term and has the term in his username. I think it comes down to the individual. I would not use the term in everyday life obviously, but I think on a sex site we are all reduced to our body parts in some way or the other, it is the first thing we see and what we are attracted to in the opposite person's. BBW reduces women to their size, P.W.A.G reduces white women to their arse size and whiteness, same as BWC your reducing him to his cock and whiteness. Even the term "hung" and "black" or "white" It's all the same. Your on a sex site to meet and have sex, engage in something different out of your everyday life. I think people are a bit too sensitive. Your upset with a term because you think your being used for your cock ! Hello ! We are all being used on this site by each other !

Hello ! We are all being used on this site by each other !"

I think this is very well said.

This is an extract from an article written by the psychologist Dr Roberta Babb re racial fetishisation:

"It can be difficult to understand that something you believe to be a preference actually has racist implications. But it is important that the distinction is made because the impact of fetishisation on people of colour can be extremely damaging.

It’s also important to note that it isn’t racist to say you’re attracted to a Black woman, or an Asian man, as long as you are not attracted to them solely because they are Black or Asian, or because of certain physical features that are frequently attributed to that group.

Additionally, saying you fancy women with blonde hair is not the same as saying you fancy Black women. Having blonde hair isn’t a characteristic that causes a person to experience discrimination and systemic inequality throughout their life, whereas being Black is.

So, when a white person says they are sexually attracted to Black women, or Asian women, or any minoritised group, there is an historic power dynamic at play – and there isn’t when you say you are attracted to tall men, or women with long legs, for example.

Dr Babb explains this difference perfectly by referencing the ‘racial lens’.

‘The racial identity of an individual forms the lens through which they are seen, sexualised and selected,’ she tells us.

‘This racial lens also creates negative and unrealistic stereotypes such as hypersexual, dominant and submissive. These stereotypes also speak to inherent subconscious mechanisms of white supremacy – which dictate who is or is not sexually attractive – within this phenomenon.

‘Furthermore, it reduces minoritised people, to one dimensional objects which provide sexual services, fulfil fantasies and who cannot be hurt. This also speaks to racial fetishism’s dark and violent history which is rooted in ancient colonialism.’"

Intelligent piece but isn’t all sexual preference a result of our own upbringing and history too?

"We seem to get quite a bit of hate (usually from white people) for our desire to find only black men for Miss to play with.

Why is this?

And why is it that only white people have a problem with us looking for and using the term "BBC"?"

It is a jealousy from white guys with issues because you’re excluding them openly. We have had it ourselves and some get quite abusive.

Like that will change our preference or improve their tepid erections.

You just have to accept that there are some people on here filled with envy and hate.

It may well be, but it doesn't necessarily follow that we've been influenced by positive experiences.

Ps the issue isn't about having a racial preference btw, it's how that preference is often expressed eg BBC
