I was recently catfished on here by a profile with verifications. I was later advised by a Fan member to use reverse image search when in doubt. It's a game changer. I have been able to prevent time wasting. What are your tips? |

I ask for a phone call when things are getting to the point where we talk of socials or even any kind of deeper level of talk. Even a quick voice or video on kik.
If they won’t do that then sadly from previous experiences I kindly exit |

You can carry out a search using an image to locate what could be a potential source. So I was talking to someone but turns out real pic owner is based in LA. |

reverse image search can be good if say it’s a stock picture or something
But other times it can be bad
For instance you can reverse image search and it will return hits to pornsites and stuff
Dose that mean I to be avoided or dose that just mean I have put them there and here |

There are veris and there are veris but yes reverse image search is useful. Perhaps one day it will happen automatically on pic upload. |

We totally agree! A phone / video call and a social meet are essentials, and if they dont agree, just move on.
There are plenty more fish in the sea, of the non feline variety. |

I had a message once a couple of years ago and his profile pic was a face on a plain white background. I reverse searched it and it came up with a clothing website in America.
He tried to convince me they had used his picture  |

We get at least one catfish a week - one yesterday.
I’d like to share a couple of tips but yesterday’s came from the forum (they messaged us first) so I wouldn’t want to inform potential catfish about the pitfalls and signs.
In short, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is. |

You can click on a image hold it down with your finger,then scroll down the list and click the appropriate is one method or upload too tin eye which is a excellent service and the opportunity to leave your own comments which helps the site as well |

I always go to Telegram (don't have socials due to the job) and have a chat.
But, even then, I've had a lass completely stand me up and ghost me after arranging. I'd taken the day off work, driven an hour each way, and she even rang that morning to 'check I was still on' for the meet.
So yeah, that was a tad annoying... |

Snapchat live video before I meet anyone (I don’t use other apps and this is most legit for me, kik/ telegram to easily faked)
Be able to follow verification trail- loads are verified from clubs they didn’t actually attend so must have meet and club veris
If it’s too good to be true it usually is! |

I have been catfished while online twice now.One was an Irish guy pretending to be someone else.Another was a couple who was really a single guy.I used google image search on the Irish guy.Instantly could see the photos he sent Me were of a famous professional racing car driver at home relaxing with his dog, painting.I always do a Skype call with anyone showing an interest.Without it I wont continue chat for a potential meet face to face. |

Oh just to add something...I have been recorded while video chatting.Not nice.But it was 2007.I do a video call if we both are meeting for sure..No video calls if we are just interrogating one another for pure fun. |

Wanting to chat and/or trade pics on Snapchat or WhatsApp in the initial messages.
Sending friend request without having any form of conversation.
Lack of photo and/or user verification.
Style of messages. Trust your spider sense. |

While useful, reverse image search isn’t foolproof. For example, there are tons of profiles here that use images from Reddit. And yet, we’ve seen many that produce a zero result when the image is searched.
Some guys borrow dick pics from the web, so a face-to-face call isn’t always helpful either… unless you are the kind of person comfortable with challenging discrepancies directly!
We’ve begun to exchange custom verification pics… if there’s resistance to that idea, it’s usually a red flag. That and pushing for a meeting early on… again, excuses are a red flag! |

I don't do photos. Video call on Telegram in the early stages and there's mutual attraction, or we don't meet. Simple as that. When I do meet, it's a Rios or Ab Fabs or other parties. You wanna catfish, cool... go on your merry way and I'll just fuck someone else that I connect with there or just relax in the jacuzzi. |

Tinyeye often comes up with 0 search results even though google image search may show multiple results. |

I’ve tested reverse image search by uploading a picture that’s on my Facebook profile (a public picture) and it came back with zero matches…so I assume that means someone can steal a picture off a Facebook profile and use that but it won’t show up on a reverse image search. |

I’m not keen on video calls. With an iPhone you can have your screen recording, hence they can recorded your video call, whatever app you use. I am reluctant to give my phone number out until after a social or meet or we’ve been talking a while. Annoying fabbers contacting me when I’m in the middle of a work day can be tedious so only tested people with that. I’d like to think I’m pretty savvy at spotting a catfish and thankfully haven’t ran into anyone yet. I guess if you are like me you could just ask them to send a pic of them with a random object? |

I’ll exchange a few messages on here then at that point I will require a quick few minutes video call to confirm we are whom we say we are.
Anyone failing to do this I just delete and ignore
If someone can’t vid chat a couple of minutes with s stranger prior to meeting. Well then there is no way they will meet in person. Plus who in this day and age wouid turn up blind up peoples houses or invite unknowns to your home.
No one is that special enough in here to not easily be discarded and moved on to a more compatible merry imo |

See most of my pics I post on twitter / Reddit etc as well so people reverse searching will often find my pics and other name there as well 
Why I just find a quick vid call easier So many people on here are sex industry workers in content / webcam creating etc that’s it’s pretty common they will use their pics across platforms .

Use an anon app or don’t most people have a cheap play phone for hook ups.

Screenshots of pictures instead of posting a picture from camera roll is a clear sign.
I had a massive one a while ago but he was rubbish at it. Couldn't even be bothered to steal the same fellas pictures.
