Hey, I was wondering if any other of you girls have ever been waxed down there before and if so do you prefer it over shaving? I’ve always shaved and debating whether to have a full wax done

Much prefer waxing. I stay smoother for longer and i dont have to worry about nicking myself shaving or razor bumps. I do have to exfoliate though to avoid ingrown hairs.

Waxing convert here! A couple of paracetamol beforehand definitely makes it more than bearable. The one thing I’d say is that you need to let it grow to about 0.5cm before re-waxing, so you need to plan! If you want to be smooth all the time, I’d stick to shaving or maybe something like WooWoo cream (also recommended - better veet alternative that doesn’t smell dreadful)

I prefer shaving, I have tried waxing a few times and I hate it.

I like how smooth I am after being waxed but can't stand the regrowth between waxes so I'll have a wax done for a special occasion but revert back to shaving as soon as the hair comes back.

Been waxing for many years. Haven't used a razor since I started getting waxed. Hated the stubble, lol

I've waxed for years and would always recommend it over shaving, where possible. Results are amazing

Fully waxed regularly and would not go back to shaving...have a fabulous waxer who is totally matter of fact about furtling in me flaps. Full Hollywood for me...I get into some very undignified positions!

It's painful but the pain is fleeting and so worth the discomfort for the finish

I find it infuriating. I wax because I love the feel but then you have to grow it for it to be waxed again , I cannot stand shaving though I get awful razor bumps and ingrown hair . Waaaah

I prefer shaving with a good old Gillette Venus, and keep myself fastidiously smooth. Touch wood, I’ve never had a rash or any adverse effects and I ‘refresh’ every couple of days or so in the shower.

I have thought about waxing, but am put off by the potential pain… I’m a wimp! and having to let it get so long before I can get waxed.

Wax is much better lasting but it hurts more and it’s effort to arrange so I stick to shaving haha.

If shaving works for you that's great no need to bother trying waxing, I would do that too but it's the worst for me for bumps waxing doesn't hurt Imo but I like pain haha

Yes but the OP was asking for opinions from ladies on how to do it. Luckily not every man who likes smooth ladies felt the urge to post.

I tried waxing because I get terrible razor rash and ingrown hairs with shaving but if anything I found waxing even worse. It was very painful in a couple of places, to the point wearing clothes was uncomfortable for a couple of days and then once the hair started growing back I probably had about a month of ingrown hairs and rashes so got very self conscious about how I looked. Will be sticking to razors & trimming from now on.

Wife has had laser after years of waxing and it's highly recommended by all involved!

Will only get waxed now. It gets easier as you get into a routine with it, and grows back less and much softer. I find shaving painful and sore and grows back in days.

Only waxing for me. Lasts longer, no itchy rash. No missed bits. Don’t have to make any effort beyond driving there

I wax all over! Pain isn’t that bad at all after the first few goes, and generally it grows back less each time.

Only issue is allowing it to grow between waxes! Means even more planning needed for meets or club visits.

My sister tried waxing once and vowed never to do it again.

I tend to just trim mostly and shave or use cream for my bikini line.
