Hiiiiiii,
Advice for you:
1) Go on a Saturday night. It will be busy and most (if not all) the rooms will be open for you to explore.
2) Attend the pre-club drinks in Glasgow Sauchiehall Street with the regulars, where you can get to know a few people ahead of time before making your way to the club for 9pm.
3) When offered a tour by wee Mags who works there, take it. She'll put you at ease and let you know all about the rules and etiquette. You know, no phones in the club (you get a wee box for your valuables left at reception), no means no, all this kind of stuff.
4) Bring cash to pay your way in. I don't believe they accept card payments.
5) Its BYOB, but the club will serve your alcohol back to you at no cost.
6) Dress to impress. Check out the website for the dress code.
7) Downstairs, play is NOT ALLOWED. So it's safe for you to hang out downstairs and never go upstairs if you don't want to. Or, head upstairs, and there is no pressure to play at all. Most people "get it" and won't be offended if you say no. |
