Hi all, we’re just after some feed back. We’ve got the opportunity to hire a pub out on a Monday evening.(drinkers country pub) So we were wondering if there’s much interest in just a social meet with like minded people. No pressure, no sexy business. Just an evening of chin wagging and meeting people in an open environment. |

Organised socials are popular. If it's free room hire; then definitely go ahead.
If you are needing to pay, then I'd suggest you go to a couple of socials yourself to get an idea of the effort it takes to host an event especially if you are charging people. Bit more pressure on you if that's the case.

Depending on the notice period, you should be able to get quite a lot of people for a West Mids social. Is it worth the cost of staff and other venue costs? As a first event, I'd be uncertain.
You could have a limited numbers social, held at a shared public venue, to test the waters. Again, if hd the same midweek day, it could give you a feel for likely attendance. Some of the visitors to the trial social could let you know their interest in a social at the hired pub too.

Socials are very popular we've done the Lichfield Lichvegas one a number of times and there very good for making new contacts plus it's so nice to chat with people on the same wavelength.
With enough notice you should get quite a bit of response.
