Loss of orgasm

Sex has always been great as has wanking
But the last 3 months I’ve completely lost the feeling of orgasm. I can still cum but as for the orgasm feeling it’s completely absent.
It’s frustrating as it’s the main point of sex for me. Not something I’ve experienced before. I’m not on new meds so not sure why it’s suddenly happening or not as the case may be. I spoke to the doctor about it who wasn’t interested at all.
Has it happened to anyone else - how do I get it back. |

You're ejaculating without feeling the prostate gland contracting, which is the sensation of orgasm. . I would recommend you get your prostate checked, a simple PSA blood test, and a rectal exam.See a different doc, and maybe get a refferal to a urologist. |

Thanks both
Yeah I was hoping the doctor would be a bit more assertive, I was hoping for a blood test or something as it came on suddenly and hasn’t resolved.
Would a sex/gum clinic look into this though or is it another go with the doctor? |

We have had this experience not ourselves but with someone we met, he came but there was no warning no sound of pleasure nothing at but Cum, we did wonder what was going in there and didn't know this was a thing until reading your post!

go back to the drs and tell him your prostate is very painful (a lie i know but sometimes you just have to) and at the very least it can be checked and things ruled out with bloods and the finger ... push it with the dr if he still says no then ask for a second opinion ... he cannot refuse that but if he tries then take it further... some drs are just lazy and need a shove ....
i deal with drs daily you really do need to push not rude but firm |

5..!..thats a lot of an untested "vaccine". Guess you must feel safe now tho ..you might want to go and get your heart checked out ..personally id be more worried.. about a heart attack or stroke than an orgasm.. best of luck |

I’ve booked in to see the doc on Monday.
Weird thing is though I woke up from what must have been a sex “wet dream” and felt it, no ejaculation, it’s been years since I had one of those dreams. Tried myself later on and absolutely nothing.
I’m a bit better as if it was prostate I’m sure I wouldn’t have felt anything asleep, however I will get it tested.
There’s things online that say a psychological issue is possible but nothings changed for me.
Utterly bizarre - hopefully get answers soon.

A word of advice. If you gave the funds, go and get a private medical check with a urologist or an andrologist. There are no guarantees with that either of course, but speaking from experience, I started having similar issues about 4 years ago and the nhs have been a nightmare throughout. They seem to regard it as beneath them to actually even do a proper diagnosis, let alone treatment. |

yes my GP said i was too young to be worrying about prostate cancer ..i was 47 .. luckily i insisted that i get checked out and i did have it ..so if id listened to him id be dead now ..as someone said go private if you can ...the NHS isnt fit for purpose..to busy doing dances for TicTok and jabbing kids with fuck knows what.. |

I have private medical insurance but wouldn’t cover this ????
They also wouldn’t cover another issue I had so no idea why I pay £43 a month for really.
I have the NHS doctor tomorrow so will see what happens- hopefully get tested. |

Thanks for the support/advice.
I did speak to the dr who suggested it’s a UTI and produce a wee sample. I’m 99.9% certain it isn’t but I’ll do one nether the less.
The dr also mentioned it’s unlikely it’s prostate as I’m young and is unwilling to do the test at the moment. I just found that frustrating really. |

Why do you need a prostate test; do you think the lack of orgasm is related to something else, for example, cancer? |

Just going off advice from here really on what it could be and people suggesting prostrate test.
Something has changed/happened somewhere but the test I’ve been offered is a urine sample for UTI which I don’t have any symptoms for, just seemed an odd route to take. |

Part of the frustration with things like this are that there are a few things it could be. Prostate is one. Medication side effects. Nerve problems due to another medical condition. Another one is pudendal nerve entrapment, which could be due to a physical injury from something such as cycling. |

I’m not getting anywhere with this really. I had a urine sample test as advised by the doctor, which was no surprise came back clear.
I asked for a prostate and testosterone check but the doctor said I’m too young to have those issues and won’t test ??? She did ask if they was any blood, they wasn’t and didn’t seem concerned.
It’s frustrating as I haven’t regained any feeling at all, I know it shouldn’t but it’s getting me down and worry in case it’s something to worry about.
But thanks again for the support, advice on here it’s appreciated. |

Has there been anything happen in your life that's caused you upset or stress? I find that when life is a bit hard going, I can orgasm but it doesn't feel anything like what it usually does. OK I'm a woman so it's not quite the same anatomy but sometimes your mental health can affect your orgasm. I do agree with more checks at the doc, this "your too young" business is just nonsense. Hope things turn out OK in the end for you.

Thank you
The prostate was a little large but the blood test came back ok. I’ve actually got a good doctor this time who seemed concerned, he checked my records and noticed I had an episode optic neuritis 10 years ago so thinks it may be a nerve problem and wants to rule that out next. |

Just giving an update and may help others with the same issue.
I had a slightly large prostate but that was a red herring. I got to see a neurologist who did an MRI scan which showed lesions, followed by a lumber puncher which confirmed MS.
It was the only symptom I had really, apart from 10 years ago so a bit shocked.
But the good thing is I started on steroid treatment and yesterday felt the best orgasm for years, so I know what I’m doing this weekend
Thanks to all - and if you’re having the same issue get some tests at least as it isn’t normal however old you are. |

"You've burnt yourself out from wanking it takes three months to produce healthy sperm count provided by a good diet so your body will be acting up confused...."
Or maybe it's the MS he's been diagnosed with? |

Read your update and I doubt it's the one you wanted to have. There's a lot of support groups with MS so try to keep both informed and active. Much as chasing snake oil might not be a good idea, Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has had number of (news) reports of people seeing beneficial results. |

It certainly sounds psychological. Although psychology has links with biology. Stress (rise in cortisol), reduces when you're relaxed or in this case asleep.
Try natural remedies in addition to seeing the GP, to relax. Eg mindfulness, meditation, showering, music (anything to still your mind). |
