Holiday for single male
Jump to: Newest in thread
Have you thought about one of these companies that offers solo travel.
I did a trip to Turkey last year with explore. It was amazing. Loads of other single people, a real mix of ages.
Very well organised and everyone got on great.
There are quite a few similar cos out there. |

"Hi I am thinking of booking a holiday I have no idea where to go as a single male any idea be more than welcome thanks
"
Depends on what you want to do on your holiday surely
Are you interested in watersports or swimming
Sightseeing
Or just lying around all day
Do you deal with heat well or not
Do you fly well
Do you have time restrictions
I mean you really don't give people anything in your post to go on. |

More often than not I go away in my own, from weekends to 6 months in the South Pacific. Most recently I’ve just come back from Argentina where I backpacked for a couple of weeks. In December I went to a resort in Mexico and next month I have a week in PDI coming up. All solo.
I don’t think if it as going on my own, it’s going on holiday. I do what I want to do and meet all sorts of different people - yes you have to make more of an effort at times…or don’t if you can’t be arsed.
The world is your oyster - go see it if you can |

I’m going to Gran Canaria in a months time alone , went there twice last year alone too , I love it there ..
Obviously a big swinging scene and if you stop meloneras side , awesome bars and restaurants with only a cheap taxi ride into pdi..
Always made friends with vanilla couples , seems a really friendly place |

I'm yet to take my first step for solo travel! The UK i'm fine with. However flying to a new country and you have yourself a learner walker again! Lol.
I would LOVE to be able to head out on my own and see what the world offers. Maybe in a year or so and I'll be ready maybe sooner |

"I would love to holiday solo but have quiet took that 1st step yet lol. Hopefully soon though x"
Do it!
I wasted years thinking that I might not like going alone. Then I took the plunge last year.
Best thing I've ever done
I went twice last year abroad, and on 3 camping trips in the UK.
This year I've done the Canaries twice already, and Center Parcs.
I have The Canaries booked again for October, and December, and several camping trips before then.
Now I want to buy a campervan so I can go away every weekend, but that's gonna have to wait til I retire in a couple of years.
I love my own company anyway, and don't think I could actually enjoy a holiday with anyone else now. |

It's something I've been thinking about since I became single...I just find the whole idea a bit daunting. I might look quite sad sat on my own in a bar |

I go to Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, S. Korea and Vietnam.
All friendly countries and have people that speak English with much to do. I suggest staying away from tourist spots. Make friends with locals, maybe a holiday gf. If she likes you she'll look out for you and tell you the real prices and barter for good deals
I stay in contact with mine and when I go back they pick me up |

I often travelled alone abroad for business so used to travelling on my own Inc long distance eg USA. Australia, New Zealand. I am a long time divorced guy and have been going on holidays alone for over 20 years. Mainly European seaside resorts but I have been to Amsterdam several times on my own. I live alone and used to my own company so I don't go for prearranged tour holidays where you are forced to mix with others. The single person suppliments are very annoying.. And frankly I've not been prepared to pay the silly prices that they've been asking for the past several years, so I've not bothered. |

Always travel on my own, i prefer it. Pick your places though. I traveled around Central America a few years ago which is really easy but for Honduras (- murder capital of the world) i thought maybe i should join a group. So consider how easy/ safe it is but generally single travel is fine. On your own you meet so many interesting people. |

Greek Island hopping and Athens sounds like my perfect holiday. |

There's plenty of different ways of holidaying on your own. I joined a group going to China where some were couples and about half were solo. It means you can chat to others doing the same tour. There are tours from companies specifically for single people, but any tour you'll get chance to have company throughout.
Now I prefer going on my own as I can decide where to eat, what to see etc. Last summer I went to Lesbos, mainly because it was cheaper than other Greek Islands. I rarely go back to the same place twice as there is so much of the world to explore |
