I have mentioned on my profile that a Club I go to holds a STD clinic there every month. It's certainly much easier and quicker getting checked there than going to the Gum clinic and I get checked every month.
Do you think it's a good idea that I include it on my profile?
And do you think it would be a good idea for your local Club? |

"Excellent idea but be aware that they can't offer every test that can be done at a clinic. "
It's run by the health authority so a full range of tests are available. inc. Blood test for HIV, syphilis and Hepatitis B. Vaccinations where appropriate, they can also check for other STI’s including Chlamydia gonorrhoea, warts and herpes. The only test they have stopped doing are the instant HIV test as they wouldn't have time to councill if a result was positive. |

Being a veteran of these tests I always encourage other members to consider being tested, and explain the best I can as to what will happen. The nurses are the same ones every month so you build up a rapport. They are always professional but you can have a laugh and a joke with them. I always go in dressed as Jenny and when asked "When was the last time you had sex" I answer "About 10mins ago" To which she replys " I think we'll just put down today shall we".
