Hi all. Planning my first ever club visit and wondering if I’m best going solo or as a couple. I am a single guy but have someone in mind who has hinted at being up for this before. I feel I’d probably socialise better on my own but don’t know if single guys are generally well received in clubs (I know there’s a limit etc). Appreciate thoughts from the experts.

For clarity, I’m assuming if I take a female friend we’re classed as a couple at point of entry.

Single and respectful guys are always welcomed by all in the clubs so you will have no problems going it alone.

Going with a FWB will give you somebody to instantly chat with which may make your first time easier. If you attend as a couple and pay couples rates you will be expected to stay as a couple and not just go your own separate ways, you will also be expected to leave at the same time.

Generally we would say the second option, you can get a feel for the club and watch how other single guys behave. If you go it alone then go not expecting a play, anything on top of that is a bonus.

Enjoy

Thanks. The one I have in mind just asks for a contribution to running costs so I don’t think there are any specific rates.

I’m fairly confident talking to new people but as you say, might be nice to have someone there to help break each other in. Thanks for your input.

A club that asks for contributions towards running costs, doesn't sound like a regular legit swingers club.

Clubs I've attended, I'd definitely suggest going alone. If you go with a female friend as a couple, single ladies or couples looking for an extra gent to join them will possibly avoid you, as you are a couple.

You'll be free to talk to whoever you want and do what you want without worrying about the ladies feelings etc.

But I'm more concerned/ intrigued about the place you are going to at this point.

Wherever you go, be friendly; chatty; polite and not pushy. Just treat it as a chance to meet new people. You can always swap fab usernames or phone numbers to follow up the evening.

It’s CJs in Glasgow I’m looking at (think it’s the only one in the area). Well established and been there for years. Definitely says on their website they only look for a contribution. Maybe when booking there’s another fee but can’t see anything.

Thanks for your reply. Think I’ll definitely go it alone.

They have a pricing structure. Not a contribution

This is directly from their website. I don’t mind paying though, just don’t want it to appear I’d consider bringing someone to reduce the cost.

A party contribution is requested to cover running costs. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and buffet are included in the contribution. Towels & Condoms are also provided.

Just saying it's a pricing structure. £40 for single guy same for a couple. Single female £15
