No they don't need to be tight as the rubber shrinks around. I found the fatter ones more comfortable too as opposed to the thinner ones and I'd think they would trap more blood, so maybe try that. Also, are you hoiking your balls into it - guys seem to only put their shaft in - while you can do this, you can stretch it around those baby makers then smash that driver through. |

Firstly do not put behind your balls, could be impossible to remove when your in great pain.
Secondly, yes the need to be tight as in having to pull yourself through.
Thirdly they do have to be a bit tight when your not firm.
Now if your worried lube up the first time so if you panic you can remove it.

If you're new to them, try a leather one with lots of studs - you can adjust the tigfhtness easily and quickly remove if it becomes uncomfortable, unlike metal ones which are a pain to remove quickly. I started with the stretchy silicone ones, and have moved on to the metal ones. Got the 5 set from Ann Summers, worked out what size fits (over cock and balls) then proceeded to buy a variety of rings to fit the smallest that would fit, to give the maximum constriction when hard.
