I am trying to find the name or style of retro type stockings. The ones I am looking for a the type worn in the old 70's pornos and worn as normal wear. Plain band at the top no lace , just like a general everyday item. Brown tan or coffee....
I have seen a porno years ago that was mainly of this but can't find the name of it , any advice on both the name or style of the stockings and or the title if the porno please xxx  |

I don't think the.stockings had a particular name for the style but Pretty Polly was a popular brand in the 70s. They did the plain topped style you're thinking of. American tan was a popular colour!! Eeh that takes me back. Lol. Ms |

I know just the ones you mean. The two plain bands at the top, one darker than the other. I have no idea what they're called, but I also remember them from back in the day.
That's where my love of stockings came from, actually. They look incredibly HOT, but you never see women in them, these days. Just the lace ones.
I've only seen one pic on here of a woman wearing them.  |

Buy the large size - I've got chunky legs too.
I sometimes wear Evans stockings and hold ups. I recently got some hold ups from TKMaxx made by pompeo and the m/l were great.
Primark also make a seamed stocking which is good cos the welt is deep and sturdier than many so it doesn't gape or sag like lots - and the seam tantalises many, I wear them for work sometimes and love to see a man trying to contain himself and be professional after he's noticed the seams!   |

Another site worth checking out is Touchable (.co.uk), who have a great range of retro style nylons (as well as corsets etc.), with the added bonus for us cheapskate gift givers that they often have bargain offers on 'slight seconds' - which are ideal for those 'Ravage me, baby' scenarios where it doesn't matter if they can't be worn twice |
