"We have a very nosey family that like to know where we are at all times. We are planning a few weekends away visiting clubs and we are a little bit stuck on what to tell them
Any ideas?" reunion of some kind, then you've got reason to revisit old friends you met there. |

Could work " It did for us, baring in mind it usually means catching a ferry, so it's never going to an early return home. |

We like to tell them as close to the truth as possible. So for example we went to Chameleons on Friday and we knew we’d be meeting up with on other couple that night. So the story we told the family was we’re meeting up with some old friends Jack & Jill in the Midlands for a few drinks and staying over. It was essentially the truth, just left out the minor details of the club and the fact we’d be naked. |

We usually keep it quite vague ‘going for a spa weekend’ or we’ll tie it in with a football trip and say we’re going to an away day and spending the night so we can enjoy some drinks. The less detail you give, the less you can slip up with x |

"Our (adult) children always wanted to know where we were gojng.
We told them we were going to a club to have sex with strangers. They just laughed at us. Never asked again."
In a way we could see this working lol |

This is an extremely high risk strategy and not recommended. Any follow up questions become *extremely* awkward |

Start a ‘hobby’ something that sounds more vanilla than it is but that gives you the flexibility to take off when you like
Bike riding, Pokémon, idk lol, something that fits with your character and gives you reason to be off alone just the two of you without being questioned |

Plenty of good suggestions here thanks, last time we said we stopped at a nice hotel and then were asked if we had any pictures?
Think we might need to drive around taking getting a photo album of nice scenery and hotels lol |

Try redefining your boundaries!
You don't owe anyone an explanation family or not.
If you say you are going away that's all they need. |

For over five years we have been enjoying out weekend breaks around the South West. You could say that you fancy exploring this part of the world a little more and finding out what great places are right on your doorstep. You could also say that you fancy a short break to spend some time together and relight the fire, that should be enough information for them to look away embarrassed |

You joined a walking group?
Other kinds of hobbies that are not too heavy or you need lots of equipment or knowledge for... |

Just get them off the internet. That`s what friends of ours have done, when they`ve really gone to Gran Canaria, but have told their family they are going elsewhere. |

We often have weekends away to visit clubs. The visit to the club only happens at night though so we can go and do tourist things during the day, we visit museums and historic sites, take pictures etc... then when you get home, you don't need a story, you can tell them all about everything apart from the club.

Why do you need to tell them anything more that “we’ve booked a weekend break in (whatever city)”?
Whatever weekend away I’ve ever had, single or married, vanilla or swinging, I’ve not seen the need to share the ins and outs. I don’t tell my family “it was a great weekend, 10 bars, loads of beer, a few vodkas and I pulled a lovely girl on Saturday night” when I’m on a lads weekend, so why would I share with them anything about a swinging weekend ? |

This is something we are looking at, combining a weekend away somewhere with a club visit |

Tell them you need to get away as you are feeling smothered by them! |
