You've only been here 4 months. Most single men wait around a year to get their first meet.
Especially as there are around 100 men to every woman on here.
Seriously, what were your expectations on joining fab?
That all you need do is knock up a quick profile, upload a cock pick and be fighting off the ladies with a shitty stick within hours?

Maybe you need to take things one step at a time. Initially it is worth looking at meeting someone for a social with no other expectations. Just meeting in a cafe or pub for a drink. Then if you get on, you might look at taking things further. You seem to be expecting more and that will put some people off.
Knowing that you are in the older age group on the site, there are about 100 men for every lady on the site and in addition you stating a preference for slim or very slim, I would think your realistic chances of meeting a suitable female is probably slim too.
The quickest and easiest way to meet people, is to attend an organised social or go to a club. |

We sometimes view profiles at a cafe or on a train etc.
The first picture of yours we open is a (rather poor quality) cock picture

I same situation, what about if you don't drive or have access to club? and/or without sounding silly I imagine a club to be full of people who know the scene, done before and/or with partner. Wouldn't I/we feel like the odd one out?
Also i have late onset chronic illness and a tumor, I can still have sex fine, but would need idea of how long I would be out due to medication needs.  |

Don't think that just because you have verifications it will make it any easier meeting people from here, yes it will up your chances by a very small fraction but single guys are always going to be the last desirable on here and there is thousands of us to choose from. |

The number of men to women doesn't really mean much as it's about due to if someone sees something that they like same goes for how long they've only just joined it's irrelevant if able to grab the attention of someone or they do. |

Verification is by no means a game changer, people can still struggle to get meets with or without them, but the easiest way to get them is by camming through the chatrooms and asking kindly for someone to verify them |

The club scene is very clicky, and quite often only reflects Fab in miniature; too many single guys, mostly couples looking for other couples, and precious few single ladies 
Statistically speaking; you've more chances of meeting genuine ladies in your local Weatherspoons, than in here (or a club). Just look at Fab as in interesting pastime, an addition to your 'normal' life, don't take it too seriously...  |

OP I have swung for about 20 years on and off, I didn't see it as swinging as the couples, and single women who have approached me, were in social setting once even on the bus home.
So when you said Wetherspoons I think you're being realistic, I have meet couples in a many Weatherspoon's near airports with a motel attached.
When I look at FAB, I see it as an advert for others who make a buck on here, FAB also sell advert space, so if single men stop using this site a lot of revenue would be lost and this site would be affected.
Single men come here on the promise of sex, then find that isn't the case in fact far from it, then complain or feel depressed. |

I'd agree with getting to a club or an organised social, I started off on here and actually meeting people face to face is the best way for a single guy. A lot of clubs do have nights for single guys to attend, but I'd check out the Manchester and Chester socials, just search for them in the forum and get yourself to one. Go in with an open mind, without expectation and get to know a few people. Hope that helps and good luck. |

The first two of my verifications I had already met before joining the site as a single guy, one of the first women I started messaging when I joined I met 3 months later and have been meeting up with her quite a bit ever since and I have only met one other women for a social using Fab as tool to meet, the rest of my verifications are all from meeting people at a club.
