hi, I have bought a 'personal' shaver to be able to have a smooth pussy but I have sensitive skin and am prone to shaving rash, even when following the direction of the hair. I need an after shaving moisturiser balm (have seen only Comando so far) that will ease the initial itch and stop any rash. Any suggestions? What do other people use? Thanks xxx |

Nivea post shave balm is good- it will probably settle after doing it regularly for a while. Anything moisturising will hep. Dont use anything too astringent |

I'm the same and I've found out if you wax I never get rush and it doesn't itch when it grows back. It doesn't matter what I do with shaving I will get rash, partly because I run or got spinning and if you sweat within 24 hours after shave you will get rush. So waxing all the way, no pain no gain |

I have extremely sensitive skin and suffer the most awful shaving rash. Recently out of sheer desperation I scoured the chemist's shelves to find anything at all that might help, having tried all kinds in the past. I was on the verge of stopping shaving altogether...
I think I found my solution. Savlon First Aid spray. I apply it after shaving, and then after every shower for a few days. It's stopped the rash completely. It's also fragrance free and doesn't taste of anything (yes, I tried lol). |

It seems that everyone has to be shaved these days? Is a trimmed pubic region not more natural than smooth and bald, which for us, suggests prepubescence and childhood.

Everyone has a 'personal choice' as to how they dress (or don't) in those regions and what you're linking it with is quite frankly repulsive & absurd imo
By the same rationale does that mean that every bloke with a thin mustache harbor's Hitler/Nazi views? I could go on
Just saying |

You may also want to consider a pre-shave oil/balm and changing the razor for a less aggressive one.
Personally, I use a combo of the Wilkinson Sword Hydro 3, shaving cream and aftershave balm from the Body Shop - no more rash for me!
If you search online, there are various forums dedicated to shaving properly with the right materials, plus many YouTube clips though naturally they don't extend to the nether regions........ |

I agree, it's a bit like saying a woman who prefers her partner's face to be clean shaven really wants to be with a prepubescent boy. Some of us just don't find a mouthful of hair to be particularly tasty!! |

I'm not sure about the pre-pubescence remark...but I know where you're coming from. Fannies with no hair just don't look right, imo.
Hair looks so much more erotic. |

Wouldn't the "natural look" be more like a hairy caveman?
It's just personal preference, being smooth is no less natural than tattoos or piercings. As it happens I wouldn't have either of those, but really dislike body hair on me or others.
I even started shaving my armpits, which some people find odd on a man.
Why? Because hair gives bacteria somewhere to cling to. No hair means cleaner, fresher.
Shaving other body hair is no stranger than men shaving their face or women shaving their legs.
As for the OPs question. Try shaving with different things. I find shave gel the worst thing to shave with. Try a natural soap bar or shaving oil.
A mild antiseptic cream after will prevent any rash.Supermarket own brand will do fine and won't smell like some of the brands.
