Swinging with a disability
Jump to: Newest in thread
So over the past 2 years, I have developed a disability which affects my mobility.
We have been very quiet over this time due to this, but I just wanted to share a really positive experience.
Went to a club for the first time since , Club Play in Blackpool actually. I took my stick, as hypermobility and pleaser heels could be quite a combo! My stick is from Neowalk, so is super snazzy, glittery rainbow and lights up. The response was great! Everyone loved the stick, was a great talking point and definitely didn't deter anyone, as we ended up in a massive orgy with an audience by the end of the night!
So, don't be afraid! We're all diverse and amazing nothing should be a barrier to awesome, sexy times! |

Noiiceee! Happy for you!
I know is possible, been there done that; although sometimes is harder to get a meet and start connecting with the right people ‘cause most wouldn’t dare to even try if you know what I mean, but once that uncertanty (from others) fades away, is totally achievable |

Yeah definitely get what you mean. We tend to only do club meets anyway. I'm fine, as long as you don't want me to walk miles or do tonnes of stairs! |

Great to see you had such an awesome experience My partner also has hypermobility and a purple Neowalk stick, and comes to Club Play with me occasionally (although usually to socialise rather than play). Everyone was really welcoming to her too, it’s a great place |

We are who we are. So pleased the op enjoyed a positive experience with people who were accepting and understanding and saw past the physical issues.
I enjoyed 3 wonderful years with a girl who was mostly confined to a wheelchair and believe me, sexy is not about the physical.
Where there is a will, there is a way. Well, lots of ways actually, but thats another story.

Well done to you for being brave enough to do what you did.
I suffer from hypermobility and also have a medial meniscus tear in my knee (awaiting surgery) and have recently started using a crutch, so know how you feel.
Don't know about you, but it leaves me feeling a little vulnerable.
I'm so pleased you had a great night, and it goes to show what a great community we have.
Great pics by the way

I can’t begin to imagine the confidence knock that must have been and what she’s had to cope with but I really hope her confidence comes back. There certainly are those of us out there who wouldn’t be bothered in the slightest about it. Sending positive vibes for you both x |

At club friend and I used to go to, selectively there was a concentration of disabled people there because of the facilities. For instance some can have sex when in water, in the swimming pool, if they have a disability which has them in a wheelchair.
We were proud of the inclusivity.
It felt good to be part of something where many folk were happy.
I had sex with ladies who would otherwise have been classified as having a tough time. One, gyrating divinely, suddenly asked me in a matter of fact voice "Is there anything you wouldn't fuck??!". The answers is yes - but someone vivacious and keen to "do it" isn't one of them, even if they have just had surgery for cancer and lost all their hair, etc. |

"I happen to be deaf I find it actually puts women off more.timws the I care to count "
That’s a shame. I have a few friends with hearing impairments and wear hearing aids. I’ve never had an issue with it as long as I’m aware of it and know that I need to face them or stand on a particular side. I’m also aware when we’re in a group that it can be difficult to hear everything that’s being said. The club I go to has quiet areas and makes it easier to chat.
I hope anyone reading your comment will be more understanding. |

I have a physical disability/birth defect. I make no mention of it on my profile. Should I? If I do ever get a reply to a message I do bring it up immediately. I walk with a pronounced limp and have bodily scarring from various surgery’s. This does make me hugely self conscious and kind of rules clubs out for me. In life I’m literally the most confident flirty guy going but when it come to my body. Well thats a different story.
I’ve recently come out of a 15 year relationship and my disability did have a baring on that. My high sex drive did too to be fair and I’ll always be grateful that she was honest about this.
I have had one meet through fab. It went well. Or I thought it did. She’s some actress if she didn’t enjoy herself and we did seem to get on like a house on fire too. However even though discussing the fact we were both looking for a regular fwb the contact has stopped. Obviously in my mind my disability/body had a bearing on that?!? Am I being over sensitive? Probably!
Anyway the responses in this thread from able bodied posters really are a tonic and great to see. So I guess I should just plough on and think of myself as just one of the single guys toiling on fab.
Happy Easter guys! |

Having become heavily disabled over the last 4 years and had 3 major life changing operations I have managed to dip my toe back into the water and got a meet a couple of weeks ago fortunately I was honest and upfront and the guy understood we ended up have a great meet and both were satisfied in more ways than one lol
So I think the best is to ve honest and if it's an issue move one because if someone genuinely understands and is happy to accept you the way you are happy days |

I love this for you! I have a disability that has left me using a wheelchair now. It took a while for me to accept the way I was not the same as what I am now, but I’m over it. I must admit I miss going to clubs, but it’s just not feasible for me anymore. But anyway, I’m so glad you enjoyed yourself. Keep on going. |

This is such a lovely positive thread. I’m saving up for a neowalk now for when I have a flare up.
I worry about holding others up on stairs etc in a club, but I find clubs are very inclusive. Jacuzzis especially are a real help, allowing positions that not everyone can get in without the weightlessness of the water.

Never let a missing appendage get you down. You are still you, though you may feel a little different at first just get out there and do what you enjoy. My late wife lost both her legs very high above the knee, yes it got her down for a year but with a bit of coaching from yours truly she was soon out and about loving life. My partner at the moment is missing an arm due to a bike accident, she is the life and sole of the party. Just remember you are a wife a mother and a lover, never let anything change that. |

I’m in the same boat as you OP. I walk with a stick and have limited mobility due to having a back operation that was unsuccessful. I’ve found that when I mentioned it some just say that they are not interested because I might not be able to “perform” |

Absolutely. Mine put me off for a long time due to chronic pain. I was always scared that others wouldn’t know about my pain and lethargy so eventually I explained my condition in my profile and we’ve actually had great feedback to say it’s a lovely honest profile and that people appreciate that genuine feel it has. I was scared all that time for no reason |

Personal I think the way you have tackled this issue is spot on, but to be honest it shouldn’t even be a thing .
Anyone who has a problem should really take a hard look at themselves and ask why.
We would love to get to know you better, we’re drawn to confident, positive ,bubbly people and you are certainly that.
Keep doing what you’re doing……
Hope our paths cross one day ! |

I have twice met with ladies who have a disability, one of whom I didn’t know beforehand… but was actually obvious when I realised … both times it was no problem.
We had to perhaps do things in a slightly different way, but it was no issue, we still had an amazing sensual and erotic time… but more importantly we had a lovely connection, so why did it matter.
Easy for me to say, but be confident for who you are xx if people can’t see past something that’s different - perhaps they weren’t worth meeting in the first place xxx

Just to add to the positivity in the last few weeks I've been at parties where at one a lady had a stick and some mobility issues and at another a man had a prosthetic leg. In both cases they had lots of fun and it really made no difference and was barely noticed. |

I'm disabled I try not to let it stop me I still enjoy sex and most things naughty, but I can't really go to clubs but I can accommodate, still my profile just gets passed by 99% of the time, I just wish people would give me a chance to chat to me before passing by, if we chat and I'm not your thing then enough but you never know it could be great adventure |

"What about someone with a stoma bag?"
I don’t have a stoma but I do have medical kit on my tummy. I try to make sure it’s visible in my photos, and when I get talking with someone I check they’ve seen it and tell them what it is/answer questions.
Some people are squeamish, that’s just how it is. I’d rather they found out they were frightened of my tummy BEFORE I got naked with them haha |

I (Athena) had a permanent stoma just over a year ago and it's not stopped us! Were very open about it in pictures and on our profile and tend to bring it up early in conversation in clubs.
Without it I would be dead and it's a permanent fixture now so I embrace having it! It certainly hasn't stopped us getting attention in clubs!
Love who you are and if anyone has a problem with your disability remember that is a "them" problem, not a you problem! |

When we started on the scene neither of us had a disability, unfortunately Football now has to use a wheelchair due to losing most of his mobility due to illness.
It wont stop us swinging but it has meant we have stopped attending our favourite club as it isnt accessible.
We are trying to get going again after spending a while out adapting to a change of pace, but we are now looking to host in our home. |

swinging is for all ....
however i once turned a guy down no attraction what so ever who then spent days trying to guilt me with things like oh its because im in a chair and if i had legs that worked you would have said yes ermm no if you had legs i would off deffo said no so just as it is that anyone can swing its also a fact that anyone can get rejected....
i have no problems with people who have disabilities but those few need to stop with the verble after being told no not interested |
