Menopause vs sexual life

I read a lot about menopause. I know that Kama will reach the point where she won’t be as active sexually as she is now. So I know the time is ticking.
Is there any solution that keeps women sexually active ? I believe we are probably talking here about a medical solution.
I’m asking for a real solution. Flowers every day will not resolve it. I also do not want her to have sex only because I want it. |

It’s doesn’t allways reduce sex drive so until you reach hat point you won’t know. HRT can help some women. Also if sex is the only thing on your mind Shame on you as menopause symptoms can be awful for some women and dibilitating |

It's a natural process and, should be up to the woman to decide if she wants to do anything about symptoms. Understanding what is happening will help her. Perhaps sharing chores, listening and being active in running the house may help. |

HRT helped me immensely, plus an understanding and considerate husband. Before HRT I honestly thought I was going mad and falling apart, the difference it has made is life changing. Sex drive back, irritability and forgetfulness gone. |

I know enough sexually active women on the other side of menopause to believe that sex drive is not hormonal - though it will likely change, so expect to need lube. The big predictor seems to be mental state - this decade is the decade of being permanently overwhelmed for women, in the workplace, with kids, often with parents, and society tells us that we are less attractive as we age. So if you continue to be an attentive partner, get on top of any niggles in your relationship now, and make damn sure that she knows you think she’s sexy, there is no reason to expect problems. |

It's good that you're thinking ahead about her usefulness. Perhaps just fuck her now while you can then get rid when she no longer wants sex. Younger women fuck and like flowers. Win win. |

Hrt - progesterone pills (if still menstruating) & estradiol patches.
The patches are usually given at the lowest dosage (25) firstly, a daft amount in my opinion - go for 50,75 then work up if needed, maximum is 100. Works wonders for emotional health, osteoporosis & overall wellbeing |

It will affect everyone differently and as a woman in my menopausal years who has always had a high sex drive I can tell you I'm now off the charts and can't get enough. The only time I've ever needed lube was with a previous partner who didn't really do it for me...definitely don't need it now. All this being said, it could change at any point I guess. |

Progesterone is needed even if periods have stopped you just take them every day instead. Gel is easier to use than patches. Balance app is good to give more info |

It differs from person to person, best to get an individual diagnosis |

It is a question and not the current state.
I think sex is important but not the only factor that bonds us together.

Not entirely the case, menopause can cause physical issues, particularly if a woman has had difficult vaginal deliveries. |

My friend has gel but she has to apply it daily and wait 30 mins before getting dressed . Can’t women get injections ? Many of the guys in the Middle East I know hit 40 and automatically get injections 2-4 times a year but in the uk they also give men the daily gel |

No there isn’t injection. It’s gel, spray tablets or patches |

My FWB likens it to being pregnant: massive hormonal changes, emotional highs and lows, tiredness and changes to libido.
She is actually hornier than before, though has a number of friends whose sex-drive has dropped massively.
I wonder - as an ill-informed man - if those women who lose ALL interest in sex are effected by more than just hormones. Tiredness and physical discomfort + lower libido + useless partners probably equals zero interest in sex. |

I had a medically induced menopause for a year. I never felt better in myself! I experienced the polar opposite of menopause symptoms which is odd as I wasn’t given HRT. My friend is having the same at the moment but is really suffering. I guess it is different for everyone. I do suffer with a hormone issue though so I wonder if that’s why I felt so good because it stopped that in its tracks. I can only hope that when my time comes I will be one of the lucky ones. |

"It is a little bit worrying that HRT increases breast cancer risk.
"
Have you watched the programmes that Davina McCall did on the menopause? If you Google it they may still be online. |

Every woman’s experience of the menopause is different.
As someone who has gone through it I was relatively lucky. HRT has certainly played a big part in that. I also have testosterone gel. I apply a pea sized dose to my skin three times a week.
I take daily supplements and can honestly say I’ve never felt better. If anything my sexual appetite has increased.
It’s not all doom and gloom and certainly doesn’t mean the end of a healthy sexual life. |

My wife is suffering from the menopause, and, luckily, she is an expert in it (lectures on it) so I am lucky that I (as far as possible) understand. Whether it’s brain fog, reduced libido or the multitude of other things associated with this, it’s being there, supporting and reassuring that helps. Supporting is so important.
OP, I am sure you never meant your post to sound like it did. Your wife needs support, not drugs so you can get a shag. |

Sorry if I was misunderstood.
I think she is at the beginning of that stage, which is why I wanted to find out in advance how to deal with it.
Sex is one part but it is also about other aspects and signs that she is reaching that point.

I've been in surgically induced menopause for 5yrs. It hasn't affected my sex life at all. I think sometimes when we presume things will happen, it almost manifests it. We're all different and so are the symptoms. Stay healthy and take the hrt & supplements |
