Playing away, I can’t accommodate or pay for my secret lifestyle by card.
Are there any Dayuse hotels, or similar that take good old cash?
I’ve been in the embarrassing situation at a Village Hotel and tried to pay cash and they now only take card. Fortunately she put it on her card - her hubby approved the meet
I’m seeing a married woman in a similar situation to me, neither of us are leaving our partners; and we want to book a room near Ormskirk, Lancs weekday daytimes. |

Most day rate sites want you to book online with a £5 deposit these days, but you could always call the hotel and ask if you can pay cash on the day……? |

100% agree...why ask people to help them cheat on their partners "
You don't know anyone else's situation. Why be so judgemental?
If you don't like the thread simply don't post on it, ignore it and scroll on by. |

100% agree. My wife has given me permission to see others but doesn't want to know any details. I respect this request my doing whatever I can to shield her from knowing when/where etc.
To answer the op's question the best thing is call the hotel and ask what there policy is. There are still hotels that will take cash but not as many as a couple of years ago |

Oh such wonderful moralistic people, hope you both feel better for getting that off your chests. |

"You can always use a prepaid credit card, such as FX
Still requires you to add money to it though so still leaves a trail to explain"
Some prepaid cards can be topped up at a paypoint in the same way you can go to your newsagent and put, say,£10 on your electric meter card
That said ive been gifted prepay cards a couple of times and have found them impossible to spend. Most retailers dont recognise the cards as valid even if they have a visa logo.
I also think a hotel might put a "hidden" hold on your card in the same way some petrol stationd put a £100 hold on even if you buy £5 of petrol, so you'd need a fair amount of cash in there |

I’ve been with men in this predicament and looking back I find it pretty pathetic tbh.
I have my own cards and despite being married, have access to my own funds and no one else sees my bank statements but me. And even if they were seen by my husband I’d never be questioned on them. Such a turnoff and have decided to never get involved again with men who can’t even access their own funds freely…
Answering your question- not anymore. Pre-pandemic you could pay cash in some hotels but not all of them. |

I'm not in your life situation but I don't like paying by card for anything except big purchase items for the extra security. Everywhere should always take cash even if you have to show a form of ID |

Thanks for all your PMs, support and advice (not so much the abusive ones).
We’re both club virgins so a bit apprehensive about entering a club environment. Prefer the intimacy of 1-on-1 meets or a 3-some.
Looks like the way forward is with a Post Office Travel Money Card.
Does anyone have experience of these being accepted at UK hotels?
Thanks in advance X

Why not call a couple and ask them? You could ask if they'll take cash at the same time |

Think a high percentage of guys on here are married.
Doesn't bother us as long as they don't slag off their wife during a meet.
We are here for recreational sex not marriage guidance.

Why say guys, there are plenty of both sexes doing it, their life, their choice |

Sorry, just used guys as an example, who else would you like me to include or shall we just say everyone on this site could potentially be married, in a partnership or attached in some way.
Again, for us, it's of no importance except if they slag off the wife, happened twice and I think it was meant as a backhand compliment something like "wish my missus was up for it like you Liz", killed the night for me. |

You could also look at some of the online only ones like wise or revolut they have the option of virtual cards that you can add to your phone but those will require transfers to top them up
I assume post office card you can top up at the post office though

It's easy for us in a like minded happy, satisfying relationship to judge others.
Maybe he has a brilliant family life, loves his kids and wife, but is sexually unsatisfied due to some specific kinks his wife won't entertain. Maybe this makes him depressed and a worse husband and father.
Cheating is rarely a long term solution and is never "OK", but it's not our place to judge. You didn't need to read his post or reply. |
