It seems many people don’t like winks. Perhaps site manager should remove that feature.

Does anyone like or respond to winks?

Wink me if you like? ??

Why should they be removed? I kinda like a cheeky little wink

I use them and always respond to them. They're a cheeky little feature!

I use them and quite like it as a feature on here (not that I receive many haha)

I respond to them, it's just another way of saying a polite hello

Plus removing them would also remove the chances of people connecting with others as some post a winkathon which can be fun and lead anywhere

I use them to show my interest in people as rubbish at first messages. I also check out ones I receive as easier for me to message people off the back of them.

Totally agree because if their was one where she's playing with her hair you'd obviously receive a wink

Yorkshire - but we travel a lot

What's wrong with them? They are harmless, just a way of showing possible initial interest. Plus they are lovely to receive.

I nearly always send a wink as initial contact with someone. Much easier than spending time and effort in writing a well thought out, detailed message only for it to be deleted unread.

It seems that fab is equally divided when it comes to winks! Personally I don't see the harm, as people who aren't fond of them can just ignore or delete them. I'm sure winks have launched many an exciting fab story

I like a wink, we've had some good meets that started with a wink, I don't think the feature should be removed, some like it some don't.

They’re a great way for you to say hi you’re hot but the feeling might not be the same for them so if they wink back you then you send a message if not then there probably not interest

I like a wink, giving and receiving. Not sure why some people hate them, but there you go.

Don't really understand them, especially as different people attribute different meanings to them.

Whenever we reply to a wink with a message we don't get a response and if we send back a wink we don't get a message.

We just figure people use them to show appreciation rather than interest.

So should we delete being able to message as some people don't like messages from certain individuals.

It's just a tool on fab if some don't like them then don't look at the "wink" tab for the ones that do then let the winks commence

I use winks as my first point of contact. An expression of interest if you like.

If I get no response, then I usually leave it at that.

They are a good way for 'shy' people to let you know they like you're profile. We don't personally use them, we do look at them though.

The one problem we find as a couple is that an awful lot of people (mostly men) wink when it's not really necessary as they also send a message at the same time.

I personally don't even look at them and have never winked anyone either.

But some do use then to gauge attraction, it can be a easy way to see if both parties are interested before going in with a message
