What's the best first contact?

I'm confused. What is the best way for the first contact? Is it a wink, a friend invite, or a message. Or how do you know which the other person/s want?

I usually wink unless it says don't on the profile, if reciprocated then follow up with a message and go from there, hate random friends invites annoy me big time

I'm fairly new to this site, but have used others. Out right friend requests without chatting feels a bit creepy, wonder if their just photo collecters!

A nice message with a decent face pic.

Sometimes winks lead nowhere (not always).

NEVER send a blind friend invite and never accept them either...

A nice mail a couple of lines long relevant to the persons profile and with as much humour as possible is best for us!, face pics if not on profile are always a good idea too

pics of weird looking junk at an odd angle with a "how u doin" not so much.

winks are ok, friend requests just really mean you want to check out their private pics :/

you dont know what the other person wants, you just do what you feel best and hope its right, for some it will be for some it wont

Personally i prefer a message first contact with a pic

.........until the person who has sent it has gone offline and you can have a cheeky look at their private pics before they can look at yours

In reverse order:....

If you want to know what they want READ THEIR PROFILE...IN FULL!!! Simples.

If you still don't know what they are looking for from reading it, then that gives you the basis of a decent message to them, doesn't it?

DON'T send Friend Invites to people 'cold' (ie. without an exchange of messages first AND asking if they are comfortable with you sending one). Everyone uses their Friends List differently, and you have to respect that.

As for winks, we usually take it as a sing they like the profile and NO more. If we look at theirs and like it too, we may wink back. Then a chat by message might take place..... or it may not.

There isn't any hard a fast rule - different strokes for different folks.

Just do whatever you feel comfortable with. But read the profile first. If you message, make sure you taylor the message to that person. If no reply dont message again.

Wink?????? Only reply to winks.

Wink shows interest and then if we get a wink back then well message back.

A friend invite without so much as even a "Hi can i add you?" is a big no no! Thats block territory for the ones who keep on doing it .

I always ignore random friends invites,Ill check out the profile of people that wink and if I like the look of them ill wink back

As for messages, well I read profiles before I read messages so if I like it ill read the message,I don't want too much in a message other than a few words and ending with something like get back to me if you like the profile,so many men have messages deleted I don't want or need a massive effort applied with an epic message, adding a pic is even better but not expected from the start
