Hi. New to clubs but not new to the scene.
Wanted to go to a club for a long time, but me and my over thinking brain don't want to go to a local one (northumberland or Newcastle) incase I bump into someone I know ghat doesn't know I'm here...
Anyone got a recommendation on how to choose somewhere? I will be attending as a couple with a FWB. And they are new to club scene too.
Thank you in advance |

Things to consider
A location that works for you
Does the night you attend have any entry requirements/themes , does it fit what you are looking for, ie if you don't want single guys you may prefer a couples night
Do you want dress up or dress down (naked or towel)
Do you want a day or night venue
Do you want somewhere busy or do you prefer somewhere more quiet (midweek is often quieter for some venues)
Those are the main things I look for when picking a new club |

For me - I am still apprehensive of trying a new club
Cupids is the club I go to most but have been to others - next summer I am going to try and go to a few others (august to May is always tricky due to football season)
For me I want to give the attic a go and maybe one of the Leeds one |

We have only been to one club and that was several years ago but we didn't have a great experience and probably should have done a bit more research. We went to a local(ish) one but on the night we went it was very quiet and it felt like quite a few single men so we stood out as new and were attracting quite a lot of attention which wasn't always welcome. We are due to go to Xtasia this weekend and this time we have looked into it a bit more. We've picked a fancy dress night as hopefully that will give us a way to start chatting to other couples. We are also going on a Saturday when it's couples and ladies only as I'm not ready for a night when there are single men. We have read a lot of the reviews on here as well, which I would recommend. I'd definitely agree that it's worth thinking about when you'll be going and what you are looking to get out of it. |

We go to Shhhh and we're local. It's always a risk but the reality is anyone you'd see would likely be in the same boat as you.
It feels like the vast majority of people in Shhh aren't local. In fact, we went to a club in Blackpool and saw someone we knew so you can almost argue it is more risky as everyone has your idea.
Regardless of the knowing someone risk, Shhh is a really nice friendly club. I'd definitely recommend it. |

One thing that people don’t take into account is that others may well feel the same so go to clubs some distance from there home town so you may well bump into your Nabour!!!!.
All in all who ever you may or may not see are in the same boat as yourself and thus people tend to keep things to themselves. |
