hi we have a new Toshiba laptop and we cant get our cam to work in the chat room.... please can someone help... simple step by step would really help

You have 2 options here:
1) You will need to determine the model of your cam... If you have found that, try google the name, that should hopefully lead you to manufacturers website to download any drivers you need..
There should be some form of logo on the webcam itself to say who made the webcam
Or:
2) Depending on what cam you have and on the operating system on the laptop, (i.e. Windows 7 or Windows 8), the drivers should be installed automatically once you have the webcam plugged in

It maybe a problem with flash. Try using Mozillas Firefox browser instead of internet explorer. It will often work first time on sites that ie struggles with and is pretty much the same look and feel as ie!

If it is a new laptop I would think the came is working and start from there. The most likely cause is you do not have flash player installed as that will not come installed with the laptop.
Google "flash player download" and install it and try cams again. If it still does not work try a different web browser like Google Chrome or Firefox. |
