Just want to say if you have a smartphone and use a certain social networking site on that phone by linking your mobile number to that site. If you swap numbers with other people on Fab who do the same the social networking will read your address book on your phone.
In other words people on here can find you on ####book. So if you like your privacy just bear this mind x |

When I upgraded my IPhone to the IOS 6, it downloaded all my contacts from Facebook to my phone, I subsequently removed them all via settings. There may be a way of saying no when the upgrade is being done but I didn't know that would happen so left it doing its download.
Personally I don't think it should have done it in the first place and annoyed that Facebook pokes itself into everything like it does |

Two points to this:
1) you can go into that sites account and privacy settings and set your mobile number's visibility to "Only Me".
2) Use 2 mobiles for private/work/family stuff (including social networking) ... and a different number for swinging |

1) Click on your name on left side of "Home" to view the profile.
2) Click "update info"
3) A lot of the settings there you can then change to "Only Me" level.
Not sure why they took it out of "Account settings" of "Privacy settings". |

Always been able to sync contacts on F**ebook site via smart phone.
That's how I discovered so called single men who are actually married (someone I won't meet), so I find it a useful feature tbh. Though I never attempt to add them on f**ebook or message them their either, I just cease messaging them on here.
I'm not worried if they locate me on F**ebook, as my privacy settings are sorted so can only view profile if you are on friends list, they can't see my wall, photos etc.
Oh, and all this from a swinging phone I use, only the very special get my personal number |

How do you find people on Facebook if you don't know their surname? |
