Some people keep them as they just like the pic, but if you’re concerned that it may be a false representation, ask if they have more recent pics you can view. That might not go over well, but it’s then up to you whether you continue with things. |

If their latest pictures were updated 5 years ago, then yes ask for a recent picture.
If they're older pictures amongst newer ones, then why not have them?.
Thing is, a picture uploaded today can easily be 5 years old without our knowledge |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
Too simplistic, OP. Plenty of pics are only individual body parts. My hands, for example, don't look any different than they did 20 years ago, and the same is true for many other bits.
Even in the case of full length pics (where change is more likely, granted), there will be plenty of people who have maintained the same shape/size for many years... and who are we to tell them their well-taken photos have expired and must be replaced?
Dates of photos are shown - you are free to use the age of the pic as a filter if you wish. |

I show old pictures but only because I have gotten alot more tattoos and don't want to show them on here.
I'm always clear when I'm speaking to someone with the intention of meeting that they aren't recent pics and explain why but my weight and body is the same so other than extra ink no difference |

"Surely it’s down to personal choice as to what photos people have on their own profile. "
Personal choice yes but also misleading if your using very old photgraphs |
