Hi all,
Looking at organising our first meet up with another couple, we’re going to book a hotel but I actually don’t know how many beds would need to be in a room if both couples are playing!
Please advise. Thankyou |

Is this without a social, because I'm sure you could discuss sleeping arrangements with them then you'll know how many beds would be needed unless they booked a room in the same hotel as well |

It really varies. Are you all playing together. Playing with each other’s partners. Or soft swing.
Not many hotels have rooms with 2 double beds. That said you can get rooms with inter joining doors, Premier Inn definitely do. That could work then you could venture to each other’s bedroom.
But if you’re arranging to meet I’d just ask them their thoughts |

"It would just be for the “fun” if there wasn’t enough beds, where would the fun take place…."
Some hotel's do family rooms which has an additional bed as mentioned premier Inn have these sofa beds or guest rooms. Search online gives you required rooms to facilitate |

OP your profile mentions that you are relatively new. Make sure that you have had a social with them or at least a video cam with both of them. In the past I made the mistake of meeting a couple, but only the man turned up cos "he knows what his wife likes and needed to try me 1st" you'll all be fine on a double bed, premier inns king size are perfect. Enjoy yourselves x

A double is fine if your not intending to have them say over.
But if you want that option, book a family room or a twin if one of those hotels where a twin room consists of two double beds. And if your smugglers you can always pull the beds together.
But just be careful of arousing the suspicion of reception in terms of numbers staying in a room. Because they like to know numbers for fire safety reasons. |

"Thankyou. There’s family sized rooms with a double and single. We’re hoping for a full swap, playing with each other.
Planning on booking and then finding a couple to come play"
Surely it makes more sense to find a couple before you book a room?
You can book a room for any night in 2 minutes flat but finding a compatible couple?
Don’t know why but this doesn’t seem right to me.
Good luck. |

We book into hotels and other couples join us. 1 room = 1 big bed usually. After a play they leave and we stay the night. You don't need family rooms. Book as you normally would. Enjoy |

Too right, just look at the number of people complaining about timewasters and no-shows... |

Have you found the couple already? If so, ask them if they’re staying over etc. |

Exactly this! Find a compatible couple first, then worry about booking a room. Also, many couples prefer to have some sort of social first rather than jumping into bed straight away. As how are you going to know if there is mutual attraction and chemistry otherwise? It would be devastating if you arranged to meet, they both turned up to your play date but then chose not to stay and play. |

Definitely find a couple you click with first ,so many no shows for people lately.
I'd advise to have a social before any play too ,to make sure youre all happy and to discuss boundaries etc.
As others said it could be an expensive lesson if you get let down or there's no mutual attraction. |

Sorry to hijack the thread! If a couple want to meet a single male in a hotel, do they just book a normal double room, turn up then the 3rd person turn up shortly afterwards? Would this cause an issue with the hotel staff at check in? |

We book the room and meet our guest in the bar, have a drink and then all just head off to the room together.
It’s never been an issue but I suppose it may depend upon the hotel.
We tend to use larger well known chain hotels. |
