One of the bosses where I work left last week and the guy taking his place started yesterday.in the briefing we had before start of our shift he was introduced to all of us.i recognised him straight away as a guy I'd met a few times before lockdown happened.i saw him look over and he quickly looked away.later on as he was walking round getting to know people he asked me if we'd met before as I looked familiar.i told him no I don't think so.swinging and me being bi is not something I tell people about and I usually like to keep it a secret, but I'm now a bit worried incase he realises where he knows me from.i have to work there and it's a bit awkward.i enjoyed the meets and would be up for meeting him again but don't know whether to tell him or not as he his one of the bosses too.please can someone advise me as it's playing on mind |

He's married as well which makes it more awkward.im not going to say anything to him but the meets I had with him were enjoyable and we just lost touch when COVID happened and he is not on the site anymore.if he wanted to meet again I would but would working at same place be too awkward? |

I would find it too awkward but its upto you. Maybe just enjoy the memory of the meets. |

"He's your boss now, stick to pretending nothing ever happened x"
This is the best idea.
If the other guy hasnt realised, or pretended not to realise, stick to it.
Work and pleasure is not wise to be mixed. |

My guess would be that he knows exactly who you are, but he asked the question to test the water. Checking if you remembered, or were going to be discreet.
Just remember that he's just started a new job and he won't want everyone knowing his private business so I'd just keep it professional and I'm pretty sure he'll do the same |

Thanks for all the advice.he quietly had a word with me yesterday and he was really nice about it.he told me he had recognised me and was a bit concerned that it might make things a bit difficult if we had to work together.he said that he was married but occasionally would meet guys and had really enjoyed enjoyed it but it was his secret life.i told him that I'd been worried about what he would say too as no one at work knows I'm bi.he was really nice about it and said that both of our lives outside of work are no one else's business and he was glad we were able to talk about it.we both agreed to keep things professional at work ,but he did say that he would possibly like us to meet again. |

Glad you got it sorted.
You must make your own decision about whether to meet him again but I think it would put both of you in a compromising position. |

I've personally had a lot of fun over the years with people at work, only one ever caused me any issues, (wanting things to become more serious and I wasn't interested etc) only you can make that decision as to whether another meet is worth it (my downfall was always office drinks, so maybe steer clear of those until your sure) |
