I've always thought that would be a brilliant idea, maybe a gesture, something like in the Masons, which would be undetected by those not in the know but would be reciprocated if someone was in the scene. Will have to think of something and get it widely known. |

a Chameleon,came across a group who working @ having a secret symbol for swingers,not sure how widespread the Chameleon is!!......much easier in BDSM,symbols are known to insiders,lots have them even as a tattoo

It's crazy. Everyone else seems to have a symbol to show others what their lifestyle is but there is nothing for swingers. It would be really great if on a night out or on holiday you could see easily if there was other swingers around. Would make my nights out more interesting. X |

Aren't there ankle chains and things you can get?
I can imagine an official swingers sign would get well know via lads mags pretty quick and you'd get twerps trying it on "cos your wunna dem swinger slags that'll shag anything, ain't ya?"
In fact, isn't there something about pampras grass being used to identify your home as a swingers house? |

Ooooo no I would not wear a 'badge' like that. I remember a couple of women on Dragons Den a while ago trying to float an idea of 'badges' for single people to say they where 'looking' or 'available'.
I cant think of much worse to honest and word would soon get out what these 'badges' meant. |

Didn't someone on here have a sticker for caravans and such like on fleabay... I think it was something like a pair of rings interlinked one blue one pink..

This subject has cropped up a fair bit - the badges, the stickers, the secret words/handshakes!
All great in theory - but would soon become public knowledge and would be abused by those getting their kicks from fakery, be it in person or key cars with 'labels'.
There's always the alternative of course - joining a club or maybe even a swingers website to find new, fun company. Possibly a lot easier than randomly peering at folk in pubs, bars and supermarkets looking for a badge.  |

We bought the swinging sticker for our motorhome, pink and blue circles intertwined with the + & - sure there is a name for the symbols... We have had them clearly on display for 12 months but never been apprached or mentioned...  |

When I was a kid in the 60's, we had a MASSIVE Pampas Grass plant in the front garden (at least ten plumes) - and my Mum was like Mary Whitehouse's clone!!!! So what does that tell you..?? Mind you, would explain the whispers people used to go in for whilst passing our house...

I think I would die of shame if someone knocked on the door asking for a session because they seen our pampas grass. Luckily we have now pulled both of them out.

Try googling 'switch symbol' which we think looks good. We've tried chameleon pendants and the swingpin 69 symbol, but nobody has recognized either (or if they have, they haven't said so!). Have also seen a photo of two blue male symbols interlocked with two pink female ones which looks good.
Maybe we should just have t-shirts or buttons with "I'm a swinger" on?  |

I like the pink and blue circle intertwined, discreet.
But I love the idea of marketing a T-shirt with FAB on it, everyone would think Thunderbirds but we would all know differently. Just going to find my Chinese supplier to rustle up a few thousand. £9.99 sound reasonable?? |

You seem to be the first to have success. I think I'm investing in a cherry badge but maybe to make sure I will use all the ideas. If you see a woman walking round with a pampas grass, chamellion, 69 badge, cherry badge and a bumper sticker on my bum you should stop and say hi.

I recall a thread some time ago about the wearing of ankle chains and their supposed meanings, something about which ankle it was on depended on the husbands knowledge of the swinging and whether it was worn inside or outside the stockings/tights denoted whether you preferred bareback or condoms for penetrative sex.

Nick at Chams spent a small fortune trying to get the chameleon recognised as the swinger's symbol. I'm sure he still has plenty of stock! I wear the wristband and have had a couple of approaches, so it works to some extent |

What about the rubber bands you can wear that show support, normally for charities.
Then male or females could wear them without compromising on what you would wear on a night out.

I find a sign mounted to my shoulders and with arrow pointing at me saying "i'm a swinger fancy a fuck" gets me recognised as a swinger by others. No clue why it works though..... |

Some friends of our told us that when we re away caravaning we should try flying a jolly Rodger flag to advertise we r swingers which we ve done the last cpl of years !
Maybe some of those ring stickers displayed in the window of our caravan will help plus a potted pampas grass and a leather suite !
Failing that we can always resort to flirting and chatting up interested cpls over a drink or two up !!!!!!
