Hi hive mind.
Hoping you can shed some light here because it’s been puzzling me!
My old account used to receive a healthy amount of traffic All the time, obviously peaking when I was active on the site but there was a constant stream of visitors.
Ever since starting a new account the opposite is true. When dormant, it would seem that the account is 100% undiscoverable. Even friends never go near it.
I can kick it into gear for a few mins at a time by uploading a few photos but again it feels like minutes later when they have gone past page one of new photos it goes back to totally inactive.
Is there anything I’m missing or doing wrong?
Thanks |

No light to shed, just writing to say our account is the same. Like you we have single men blocked so can't see the single men traffic under normal circumstances. The account is pretty much DEAD, but as soon as we post even a silly status update there's a rush of views, winks and messages. I think this lasts until the update has fallen off the local updates (a bit longer if it's a new picture).
I am not sure if there's difference in user behaviour or if the algorithms have been changed to let inactive accounts recede, but yes I have certainly noticed it. I guess the answer is to always have a pic to upload or a status to update. Unfortunately not something that sits too well with me, it feels very attention-seeking (I am not an exhibitionist!) |
