Chat first

Is it such a crime that we would like to have a chat before the likes of video chat or arranging to meet up? Me (S) am quite shy to start off with but love chatting and seeing where it goes with no pressure. I get there’s many occasions where it’s only him or her chatting but masquerading as both there as we have experienced ourselves.

Maybe we should add it to our profile?

Any advice?

Hey we in the same boat as want to chat first to get to know people but many people want to meet quickly so quite hard to get the right balance xx

Of course you should chat and get to know the people you may end up meeting.

How else would you decide if you wanted to take things further.

Keep chatting and hopefully you meet some great people that are suited to you.

Chatting is the key to see if their is any chemistry and then if so take things further it also makes people feel comfortable taking the edge off

Out of curiosity where would you like the chatting to take place?

From my (almost non-existent) experience with the tools on offer on this site I can appreciate that chatting on might be quite cumbersome so it's just easier to do it on a cam.. even if everyone keeps their clothes on.

fwiw I'd like to chat first before the camera comes out or meeting up but I fear we lack the tools to do so effectively

I like a chat first as it helps you get a feel for the person before meeting. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have a chat and then meet and less awkward.

I (female) prefer to chat first, then maybe a video call
