When did you decide you wanted to explore the swinging scene?

Aimed primarily at Couples, but don't let that stop others from posting.
Presumably you and your partner were a monogamous couple when you first started out (and yes I know it doesn't apply to everyone) but I'm curious to know, how long you were together before you felt you wanted to explore the swinging scene and how (and who) first brought the subject up?
Is the 7 year itch a myth?

We had been monogamous for nearly 11 years! We started out on the kink scene, so out relationship has always been on the alternative side.
Over lockdown we did the BDSM test (just for a giggle initially) and them when we looked at our results realised we both scored highly on non monogamy, so that prompted a discussion. Once the pandemic had calmed a bit we decided to do something about it, and joined fab.

We were monogamous for 19 years although I (Mr) had floated the idea a few times. One weekend we were child free, again I mentioned it and she surprisingly agreed to try it, so off we went to a club. We were so nervous, guarded and looked like rabbits in a headlight. So, we decided to give it another go a few weeks later and be ourselves |

We had been together about 12 years when he started suggesting things. I was not sure about meeting anyone else so we decided to join a naturist club so I could get happy with being naked in front of other people and obviously see others the same. We continued to talk about involving someone else and I eventually agreed to it. It was long before the internet appeared and had to be arranged through contact magazines so there was time to get heads around it. We eventually met a couple for a 4some and then guys for 3somes. The rest is history. |

Nope. Char and I were swinging just about from day one. Both second marriages, both very open with each other when we first got together, both looking for someone we could be ourselves with.

I’ve always had a fascination in this side of life (by that, I don’t know the right term, but it encompasses a whole plethora of alternatives - from lapdancers through to swingers etc. I am genuinely interested in why people like to explore that side of life).
I joined fab as a single guy for the same reason as most, to meet lovely ladies. I did ok but never amazing, and had a few dates.
One day, I got a message from a really lovely lady who liked the look of my profile. A social followed, then some naughty meets in country lanes and a super hot affair over the next year! We had talked about getting others to join us but only as a fantasy.
A few years ago, I had to go overseas for six months or so, which was preceded by six weeks training on the other side of the country. On a weekend off, she drove to pick me up and we booked into a hotel - we only left to get food and on the saturday night… we visited a club! Had an amazing sexy night, played together mainly but did have fun with another couple.
Due to circumstances, we stopped seeing each other for a while but have reconnected again now. Will see how we go  |

I was a very jealous partner and we had a brief split after about seven years together.
