I love Eureka, it's a great venue with great facilities. But people on the forum have been running it down, I can't think why! What would you like to see changed? I personally can't wait until May when the pool opens and the parties get going. Are we all going back in the Summer, if not why not? It has everything going for it surely? |

I've never been, I'd always wanted to try it but I'll be honest I was scared off after being told by a few different people (who all said they were regulars) that if I didn't go with an established person no one would talk to me all night & also if I went with them I'd be expected to stay within their crowd all night, that the groups are quite protective of their guests & it would be especially frowned upon for me to play with someone outside of the group
It made me feel like I'd be the groups property for the night & I heard this from 4/5 different people all as far as I'm aware didn't know the others have had those conversations with me as I'd met them in different clubs and I never mention my fab name in clubs
Fast forward to now, I understand that a lot of the regulars have left but now it's been the current owners rudeness totally ignoring requests for information, costs etc both on the forums and in private message (I'm talking about 3/4 messages over the course of about 8 months & at least 2 requests via the forums on posts they'd commented on or started - I know they've now left FAB)
In an ideal world I would like to attend once over the summer, experience what the outdoors has to offer have a look at the club, see if I like the facilities but I understand that to do this you have to buy a membership and then a daily admission but I wouldn't want to pay £25 for a membership when I may only attend the once
I think they should offer a 48hr membership, try before you buy type thing & if you like it then deduct the cost of the 48hr membership from the annual membership
The cats away parties will probably help but if all they are doing is attracting the old crowd that won't attend on regular days when the current owners are in attendance then I'm not sure what the point is
Especially as the club made a big deal during lockdown about renovations keeping them top secret saying if you want to know you'll have to sign up & apparently those that have have said the changes are minimal, dance floor has changed a bit etc |

This + not too sure but I believe they offer a 'try before you buy' deal now.
I too emailed for info many times last year with no response, eventually spoke by phone, getting answers to my questions seemed tiresome asking for basic single male membership (for which I had to do online). A quick change of tack, what if I enquire for £400 gold membership, that drew a very sudden change of attitude. I still haven't re joined |

We used to attend regularly and been once since opened up again after lockdown.
Never had an issue with Carrie always got on fine with her and she has done some really lovely things for us in the past. I don't know Stuart so have no issue with the way we have been treated by them.
Eurkea can been fun with a small crowd of people but when I went last year the music was terrible. The guy was playing club music which didn't work with the small amount of people there . We had asked several times for different music to be played but the guy was happy bopping away in the dj both to his kind of music which wasn't getting people in the mood to dance. I also has some woman who thought it was OK to keep trying to stick her tongue in my mouth which wasn't really appropriate consider we were just coming out of lockdown and it wasn't wanted.
Everyone was in there small groups so it felt unfriendly last year.
The amount of money we spent with membership, entry and drinks cost us the same amount of money that we paid for our 1st visit to penthouse playrooms which is bigger, has more rooms and better facilties so got more for our money.
Or pleasures just cost us entry fees which is like eurkea.
But we will be back in the summer and do hope then things pick up.
I think the membership and entry needs to be cheaper if charging for drinks to compete against pleasures now. Xx |

That's a shame that you were told to go with someone or you wouldn't be spoken because that isn't always the case. We regularly had newbies on our table and always chatted to them and introduced them to other people..
My 1st time I was made to feel very welcome and was hooked on the place from day 1. |

The new owners are really trying to get back to normal. It’s wrong that ppl have got involved in personal business and taking ‘sides’.
They are offering try before you buy now. Certain parties like mine; guests don’t need membership
Sadly all the clubs have increased prices |

We've been a few times during the day in 2020 but the pool was freezing and they said they would be switching the heater on next season in 2021. At the beginning of last year's season, we rang up and specifically asked if the pool was now heated and they said yes. We turned up, checked again while we were there and they said it was heated, paid our entry fee and headed to the pool. It was bloody freezing.
We were told later by a member that the heater had broken during the week.
We were really put of by the total dishonesty of the place. It's got great facilities, but if we can't get reliable information from them we don't really want to go.
It's a shame, because I defended them on the forum against much criticism and said they should be given a chance because they were under new management. Well they had their chance with us and now we don't want to go any more. |

Ok, so apologies first. I went last year and the pool was totally freezing. However I met with the management last week and they promised that solar panels are being installed this week so the heating of the pool will be much better this summer. X |
