Hi Fab world, I understand the lovely women and couples get 100s of messages a day, I just wondered if there was a tactic to ensure a message is read, is it a snazzy subject line, that can stand out, attaching pictures to jump the Q. Or is it just pot luck? |

Something related to their recent update or a compliment in the header line perhaps?
You could do with some more photo’s if you don’t mind an observation?
Noticed you’ve a typo in your bio Hotwife as Hotwide
Good luck. |

OP....first thing we see is your profile picture - obviously not everyone can show their face but a smiley face profile always looks good in the message list. If not, then a tasteful clothed body show is generally better than a naked one or a dick pic.
The subject line is important - so often we get subjects like "X" or "mmmm" and we know they're going to be rubbish.
The first line or so is important as it's the bit that can be seen before opening the message, so a banal question like "how's your day going" doesn't grab the attention as much as mentioning something from our profile.
As far as attaching pictures go...one of the things that annoys us most is someone sending a decent message and ending with "can send pictures if you want". Sex is a physical thing, attraction has to be there before we can work out if we we want to see if we get on, so definitely always send the pics with the first message.

Honestly? Char spends a lot of time on Ebay so I'm often laid next to her in bed at a loose end. And I get enforced half hour breaks at work (I'm a driver) and there's only so many Wordle variations a man can do.

"Make it easy for them to answer. Ask two sensible questions based on their profile, and tell them enough about yourself that they can ask a question in return. "
This is excellent advice. We get SO many messages that we just look at each other and say "no idea how to answer that". Generally one line messages that just say they like our pics or that Char is "hot" or silly questions like "have we been naughty?"

Read the profile you are responding to in full.
If not it comes over that you are using the scattergun system or lazy.
We do read profiles in full and maybe pick out a line from their profile that we find interesting and mention it in our initial contact.
If shows you have taken time and made some effort both nice traits.
Something like "how's you" is a block.
I'd say about 95% of messages we receive don't read our profile. |

An eye catching profile pic that doesn't look like every other profile pic helps.
An orange tshirt would stand out more than a full body shot that when it's 1cm high on my phone looks like hundreds of other men's pics.

I actually think your profile is more important than your message
First off I look at the profile pic, if there isn't one I automatically delete
Then providing it's not a one line 'how are you' type message I look at the profile, pictures, bio, interests etc, to see if we are compatible - yours is better than most, you haven't just ticked everything & have will meet 18-99 etc
If we look like we are a good fit then I'll finally check out the message
Obviously everyone has a different approach but I'd say providing you don't send one liner messages you're already ahead of the game |

Excellent advice - not much we can add to this. Most of the time we'll just delete mails that don't have a profile photo, are obvious copy and pastes, or mention meeting asap. If someone has taken the time to read our profile and put some effort into their one we're much more likely to reply. However it then comes down to whether we feel they are what we're looking for - sometimes there just isn't any attraction, or sometimes something in the profile puts us off. |
