"Hi all you beautiful ladies. Has anyone tried that new weight loss injection treatment from boots? If so can you share your experiences with it if you feel comfortably doing so. "
OP I’m obviously not a lady but I can’t see how any injection for wait loss can be a good thing. I’m not particularly proud of my body lock down and quitting smoking has ballooned me but I’d rather try and exercise a bit before quick injection fixes.
Plus not all of us like the skinny girls |

I definatly wouldn't be using it as a quick fix. Having tried everything else I'm struggling to loose the weight. And also I'm doing it for myself not others. I don't mean that in a rude way..just commenting on the last part of the msg. |

Seconding this. Focus on the calories you're consuming, and reduce that number. Keeping a diary of everything that goes past your lips really does help, as long as you don't lie to yourself.
It's a perseverance thing, but keep at it and you'll see the results! |

I'm on it now. It has mixed reviews about side effects. Im on the max dose now, and the weight is coming off. I'd read into it a bit more.
Go to Pharmacy 4u, as that's where I get mine from. Order 1-2 pens first to see how you get on.

Gorgeous photos !!. Injections sound a very bad idea. Best to limit calories, make a list of very low calories foods to use as snacks when you're feeling pekish . Weight watchers have a leaflet of 'zero' foods for a very fast diet but recommend you don't do it for more than a few weeks or it can make you ill ! |

The wife has been looking into this.
But she says it cost a fortune and a couple of people we know reckon it didn't really work for what you pay..
But would love to hear what everyone says to weigh up the pros and cons
Thanks |

Hey OP, just seen your pics, you look fabulous the way you are....
But... we all know the many reasons for losing weight and the benefits of looking phyically healthy. Its a tough old road.
Its actually nice to see you're doing some research before trying it.
Is there any reason at all why you can't shift the weight any other way? I.e medication or genetics?
I always seem to shift weight hard at first through exercise then it just stops lol soooo frustrating!
I have never gone done the root of extreme dieting or injections but i did for a little while take a natural pill in holland and baretts that helped to disolve fat. I forgotten the name and i stopped taking it a few years back as i fell pregnant. But holy moly it worked lol.
There is also a forum group on here that people talk about ideas and tips on weight loss. Xx
Hopefully you will find something that does help. Even though i think you look fab anyway lol x |

Eat less, exercise more.
That's the only way to lose weight.
Swimming is ideal for anyone that has issues with joint pain as it takes the stress and pressure off limbs.
The incentive and willpower has to be there though. Without that there's no point even trying. |

You might find it difficult finding ladies with experience in this as it is still quite new. I looked at the research and while it clearly works for most, once they come off it the weight starts to go on again. The takeaway from this is you need to reshape your eating habits for long term weight loss. If you can do that while you use the injections, can't see why it wouldn't stay successful when you stop the added help of the hunger controlling meds. |

Aww thankyou very much. Yeah we all have our reasons and some people may not agree with how and why but at the end of the day it's our bodies and we know best what works for us. As alot of people on thos thread jump to conclusions and assuming that I haven't tried any of what's being advised and that's probably because I'm asking about an injection that they see as a quick fix. I have tried all sorts of diet and calorie control and exercise bit that is very limited with what iv got going in..walking around asda is even to much for me and end up in agony...so I wish sometimes people would stop assuming. I'm glad to hear you found a method that worked for you and I may well look into that. But I will definatly be doing more research on all options because of my health issues. |

There's your first mistake. Diets.
To lose the weight you need to change your entire lifestyle and stick to it.
You also need to exercise. You can't eat yourself thin without being incredibly unhealthy.
That's the ONLY thing that works.
It didn't take days to become overweight and its not gonna take days to not be anymore. |

Whatever you eat is classed as your diet.
You do not need a complete lifestyle change to lose weight. Exercising isn’t mandatory, it will help but it isn’t necessary. |

Lots of 'curvy ladies' under this topic posting from single men accounts lol
I tried this, not from boots I was prescribed it from my Dr. It does work in that it kills your appetite so in essence you're starving yourself, so would work for a quick fix but not for long term.
But I have a reflux problem and I found that I constantly felt nauseated and burping up acist at the back of my throat.
If you're under weight management with your Dr try orlistat, it stops your body from absorbing all the fat that you consume but you do need to adapt a reduced fat diet.
But that as well has some not very nice side effects x |

Have a Google around set point weight (I'm a big fan of rebel fit for this)...
Like anything it's a tool, it has had some good results and if you meet certain conditions it's now available on the NHS.
If you Google saxenda efficacy you can find a few articles on Google scholar from 2017-now so it's got a few years of trials under its belt... (if you can be bothered to trawl through the scientific jargon) they talk about how effective it is, one trial even looked at a maintenance program and that's the sting I guess...
It's a tool that helps suppress your hunger which is great in the short term but not so great in the long term once you've lost the weight. |

That's the brand I'm talking about..I know it suppresses your appetite but I just would like to hear other people's experiences being on it. Its a tough decision to make tbh. |

Do you mind me asking why you would assume iv not done any of this is the past. Everyone is built differently and what works for you might not work for me. That goes without saying. But as I said, I'm not asking for advice in how to loose weight. I'm very aware of how some people can loose weight. I'm asking the ladies about experiences. |

Haven’t tried it, but if you have other health conditions going on, feel hunger, and don’t comfort eat or binge eat, I would not risk it. Losing your relationship with food and hunger is a big risk factor for weight gain, and most chronic illnesses and pain get worse with fluctuating blood sugar levels.
The reviews look positive if you can cope with the side effects, it’s obviously reasonably safe, but I worry that the risk of rebound weight gain will be higher with appetite suppressants than without. |

Its a tool, works short term, shit long term. The classic line that is what you say just before every diet there's ever been. This will go along way to help prevent people kids having eating disorders. Spend week in an eating disorder clinic....that might suppress appetite and might actually be able to day 'it horrendous but works short term, will stay with me forever....odds itll help long term

I'm just saying, but if you're trying to lose wait for your health I get that.
If however you're doing it to 'look better', don't bother hunny. You look bloody gorgeous to me as you are |

Im resigned to never being thin. Ive managed to break two major life long food addictions. Sticking to eating healthily most of the time, enjoying occasional ok safe treats without the beat up self guilt and not feeling so negative about wobbly bits. Negative self image/self loathing baggage still niggles but accentuating the bits i do like is a workaround. Food addictions and emotional eating are really hard to change. Dont think i could ever resort to the diet injections though. But each to their own. |

Why are people so fixated with weight? Its only a problem when it impacts on your health, physical or mental. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is no such thing as a perfect BMI Its what you are happy with and the only views that are important are those that YOU feel are important. Other people's views are secondary.

My friend has tried this and the tablet form.
Lots of nasty side effects.
She loses the weight, stops the medication, puts it straight back on - rinse and repeat. |

I can't comment on the injection but for all the people saying counting calories is the only answer, it simply isn't. Counting nutrition rather than calories is a much better option. There's plenty of research that shows that the amount of nutrients is far more important than the number of calories when it comes to weight loss. Low nutrient foods cause you to be always hungry no matter how much you eat. |

I've lost 4 stone since May 2021 just on 60% keto 40% calorie control it came off fast in the first few months, then slowed and ive maintained the loss, I walk a average 30 miles a week of not sometimes a little more so between 5-6miles a day. Love it |

The best way is to keep fit and healthy. I've done marathons and fun runs. Not for everyone. But if you walk or jog or swim every little helps. You feel the benefits in the long term. Drinking water eating fruit. Try having an aim and a goal to achieve. |
