"What would you personally start one with a comlpement etc ??"
I keep this profile hidden mostly, but when someone messages our couples profile I like to see
1. Message address to both me and Mr
2. A brief intro about them
3. Something related to our profile bio which shows they have read it and why they are a match.
4. Face pic
Even if they are not for us a message along these lines will always get a polite reply

How would you like a message you received to start?
Compliment is great....if it's genuine. But like everyone else has said, and what WILL make you stand, is mentioning something in the profile and giving someone a reason to reply.
We get LOADS of messages asking us how we are, what we're doing, or if we've been naughty. All deleted.
We get LOADS of messages that are one lines like "I loved your pics", "you're sobl sexy" and we look at them and just don't know what to say in reply as they don't ask us anything. Sometimes they are so far away that we're not even sure if they want to meet.
A genuine compliment (backed up with a reason why you thought it), something about yourself, what you're looking for and something that might help create a "click" between us.

Personally I dislike compliments. You can’t see me so you have no idea if I’m gorgeous or not. I ignore fawning compliments, they mean nothing. I do get messages about my profile and that’s ok of course.
A chatty hi, something in a profile, something about you that’s not in your profile. It can be short or long. I prefer light hearted and non sexual but that’s just me…. Other preferences are available.
