Can anyone recommend a shop that we can actually visit for my new partner to try on boots as she feels this would definitely be better than buying online

Please

I have quite muscular calves due to the amount of dancing and walking I do.

I find that when I am buying knee length and thigh length boots, I have to go a size bigger than my usual shoe size.

For example, I'm a UK Size 5 in shoes but I'm a UK Size 6 in knee length and thigh length boots.

I hope this helps

Simply Be, do a great range of calf sizes for knee highs.

I think this definitely doesn’t help, having smaller feet! I tried some boots from simple be recently in the super curvy calf width (4th largest out of 5 calf size options) and they still didn’t fit! But I think if I’d been a size 7 instead of a 4 they probably would have done. I’m a size 16/18 on my legs so not massive although I do have muscly calves

Alternative footwear have a good range of styles with adjustable laces to allow for fit.

Same, but occasionally ill find a pair if boots in size 5 that fit well. But most commonly I'll have to go to a size 6

I am a size 9 and my thigh boots are a 9 too. The foot fits OK, it's just fastening the zip over my calf and thigh that's the problem.

Found that laying the boots over the radiator for a half hour makes them softer and easier to fasten.

If it’s more raunchy boots you’re after I got some with a lace up back on eBay. Then can change the laces for elastic

Even elastic laces don't always work as you can see skin either side of the tongue

I second this, I have wide feet and wide calves and find it a nightmare buying shoes never mind boots. I love Yours clothing so tried there for boots.
