Hi all,
When I send messages i am always polite and well mannered, never anything filthy but can see ny messages just get deleted. When somebody winks or messages me I always reply even if its a no thanks.
I know couples and single women must get inundated with messages but surely 2 mins to send a polite no thanks isnt too much to ask?
I know I'll probably get some grieve for saying this but manners dont cost anything.

Why start a dialogue if you aren't interested? I used to reply to messages with a polite 'thank you, but not for me, all the best' etc, but I would get replies asking why I wasn't interested, or if I thought I was somehow above them, or the downright rude ones calling be a fat slapper. So now I don't reply at all if I am not interested. |

Fair points. I suppose you dont know what reaction you get if you reply with a no thanks. I dont think I'm above anybody else just sometimes people arent for you, I just let them know politely. But each to their own of course. |

Same here and it does get you down, you just have to stay positive. As you know, loads of single guys to choose from, and some will get peeved at rejection, which unfortunately makes it difficult for the decent ones. |

I'm not sure how you can compare responding to a post on the forum with responding to a message wanting to meet. It's nothing to do with time, it's everything to do with what I am looking for. |

Cheers Durham. I did have a few meets when I was on here previously. But obviousl starting from scratch again. And it does seem some people with their reactions spoil it for the rest of us. If I got a reply saying thanks but no thanks then that would be the end of it. I wouldnt kick off and ask why. Hey ho. |

When people ask why, I refuse to go into specifics. Usually most will respond with a 'happy swinging' or 'good luck on the site' type exchange of pleasantries. Giving reasons is the loaded gun that usually provokes a shitflinging contest, and there's just not enough hours in the day for that
There's a few that won't take no for an answer, they get wished the best of luck

Everybody has different tastes and likes and dislikes etc. I know I'm no Brad Pitt lol but I've had my fair share of fun. Cant see the point of getting arsey with people if they no thanks. It would just be nice to get an acknowlegement. Anyway, it is what it is. I'm getting another pint. |

Hi
Thanks for your post. Not asking to get in to a conversation if people arent interested. Just a simple no thanks and an acknowledgement that people have taken the time to read the profile properly and send a polite message. |

While one may empathise with your situation, it is always worth bearing in mind that no one is obliged to reply to messages on here including well, written polite ones.
Some females may receive 100+ messages per day and a 2 minute reply is quickly escalated to 3 hours + work which is just ludicrous given that they are not here to act as secretaries!
The only thing to do is rock and roll on!
