I've had grief of someone that obviously cant read and follow verifications this evening when I said I'm not meeting due to covid.
In all 3 cases they are people I know exceptionally well and in one case for a very long time. So when we could leave verifications I have left them ones based on past experiences.
Not met anyone as a fab meet since March 2020... although once we were allowed to meet socially have met a few friends ( in a none fab way)
So should you leave a rough date of when you saw someone.. or should people just not assume that it was a recent meet??..
One case I last saw my friend at a MLS event think back on 2018 maybe 2017. But still keep in touch

Verification are a tool for us to help get an idea (hopefully independent) of the people we're looking at. Also the reliably of a verification reflects on you and your integrity. Definitely trust verification from some profiles more than others. Personally I'd prefer to know if the verification was for a recent encounter or not. If not the exact date some wording to tell it is a historic one. From a point of covid restrictions some people are particular when it comes to people who have met recently. So suggesting you've met recently when you haven't may also do them a disservice. |

Yes you should make it clear in the verification that you met the member pre covid. I myself will not meet anyone who has met when we weren't supposed to. Unless they had a bubble with that person.
People will quite naturally assume you or whoever you have met have done so during restrictions, unless you make it clear.
If the verification is clear that the meet was prior to Covid that is acceptable.

I don’t feel like I need to explain or justify to anyone. Just block and move on. |
