I had the snip whilst my ex was pregnant with my youngest child (I have 2 kids). The amount of pressure I received asking me to wait until after the birth was intense. They even tried guilt tripping me into postponing it!!! They asked questions like “what if you lost this baby?”
That was 7 years ago and I forget I’ve had it!! Don’t think about it any more. Definitely no regrets. It hurt for a few weeks (because my eldest jumped on my lap I expectedly) but nothing I couldn’t handle.

Going back to your original question OP, about having it as an option on your profile, I'm kinda wondering where you're going with it.
I understand your reasons for having it done, but it seems to me that you might be thinking that once you've had it done, you might be looking to play bareback with others, as that's the only reason I can imagine for having such information on a profile. |

An aside: I had it done at a local clinic. I am a big baby at the best of times, having a strong disregard for all things medical (espesh needles). The man in for the chop before me spent fully 20mins screaming his bloody tits off, I swear it was so loud and blood curdling I looked for hidden cameras as I was sure I was being setup by Jeremy Beadle. I am still amazed to this day I went through with it, definitely my bravest hour! Come my turn I barely felt a thing, while the first chap complained of "really tight tubes" apparently (but the Doc said all they had to do was look at him to start him shouting). |

Hubby has snip years ago, but wouldn't go bare back, sti even HIV isn't exactly cured by antibiotics! I can never understand people putting their sex life before health! |

Paul had the snip like 15 years ago and it was a case of going in.. Feeling a bit sore, then coming back home again.. The real issue for him though was the healing period which included him not being able to wank it shag for a select period of time..  of course he couldn't help himself and his stitches came loose... So his scarring is a little worse than what it would have been.. If he had just not played lol..
But be careful with the 'option of looking for other guys who have been snipped' STI's do still massively exist... And although your judgement call is what it boils down too... There still is nothing stopping them from merely lying about it.... As usually the scar is unnoticeable....

I had a vasectomy after my second child was born 12 years ago now. No regrets about it at all. It still works the same and has no difference in texture or appearance . Still tastes the same without those little fellas swimming about. It's great not having to worry about contraception when I'm in a relationship. I always practice safe sex on a meet and not looking for bare back. My sexual health is important to me |

I was done about 17 years ago ... Procedure was a bit painful on one side , but recovery was quick , after and now I would say I probably produce less volume but there is no difference in the feeling of orgasm , so all good.
It makes life so easy with my partner , no worries of anything unexpected happening which is a huge relief to both , always use a condom on meets though as obviously having had the snip doesn't protect you from any nasties out there |

Eau natural here for female, no hormonal birth control, sadly means I am at the mercy of mother nature Monthlies, yet have to say my sex drive is higher than its ever been.
MY partner was snipped, and my fwb also snipped these are the only two that are allowed anywhere near in that respect, and if felt so inclined to involve anyone else in the equation then would be fully wrapped.
But we forget something here, im very lucky in sense of a exclusive bubble, but blooming awful things can be passed orally, and the only way is regular testing. I'm cautious that if I ever did, even safe with a unvasectomised wrapped male, and had a tear or split, pregnancy would be another worry.

I had the job done when I was in my 30's for the same reason you have stated. The treatment worked well, I was in and out of the Hospital within an hour or so. Have never had any problems, though I think it may well have mede me hornier.

Had it 13 years ago, the prosecute went well, sore as opposed to agony, but afterwards I had swelling on one testicle which could have been caused by the procedure, this led to another hospital op, general anesthesia this time to be torn apart by a foreign butcher. The bastid I told him if I ever met him outwith the hospital I would waste him, he shouldn’t even be allowed to take up trousers, my own Doctor was appalled.
So, years down the line I am of the feeling that I would not have it done again given the choice.
If you are the one of the one in 1000 people that does have complications then yer fucked.
Read the pros and cons carefully and weigh it up yourself. Take advice.

My husband had a vasectomy many years ago and I'm post menopausal.
I wouldn't ever have sex with any other man unless he was wearing a condom. Not worth the increased risk of an STI.
I doubt having a vasectomy is relevant to those who do go bare. |

Had mine 3 years ago, was in and out within the hour and other than a little pain (and it was very minor for a short period of time) everything went well.
You have to drain the tanks regularly afterwards (not on the day) and drop a sample off a few mo this afterwards.

Had it done July 2002 while still with my ex
Got an appointment with the consultant in the October who informed me it hadn't worked
Had to have an ultrasound scan and they discovered l had 2 tubes coming from left testicle
Gave me the choice to have it redone which l agreed to
Had it under general anaesthetic in the December 2002
We divorced in 2007 and l do regret having it done |

Second time didn’t go smoothly either he got severe complications and ended up in hospital 3 times after it, was on morphine and had to get an emergency operation to drain infection and was very close to getting septis. Was a nightmare. |

If the reason you are asking is with the aim of going bareback and not risking pregnancy, why doesn't she try other forms of contraception. There are many other options than the pill. Seems to be a much better idea than trusting complete strangers telling you 'yeah honest, I've had a vasectomy'...! (Ignoring the STI issue) |

Snipped 30 years ago. Very minor swelling which lasted no more than a couple of days. Was right decision at the time and never regretted it. Noticed no difference to libido, or volume of cum. Glad to say still a heavy cummer! |

THIS IS WHY I would only have it done privately if I was to do. Too many issues with travelling doctors to GP surgeries doing it. No thanks. We clearly all love our sex life here so why risk it ?!?
Other half uses the coil which rarely gets a mention here!!! No condoms, pills or males/female operations ! We would never look further than this option. |

Snipped guys are good for me. I've had problems with hormonal contraception for years now, I've had to stop using it completely so cannot use the pill, implant, patches, injection. The coil also isn't an option due to a medical problem. So that really only leaves condoms which dry me out and make sex very uncomfortable and unenjoyable, even latex free ones. So tbh I just rely on the pull out method now, which is a bit of a concern. Snipped guys are perfect, especially as I love cum inside and miss it. Xx |

Soon as we had our 2nd daughter booked the snip. Our doctor said I couldn’t have it as I didn’t have a son yet so I asked how many girls do I have to have before it’s ok. I ended up having one done in private hospital, no problems and no regrets |

Had mine done when I got divorced at 41.
Fathered no kids that I know about up until then and it appears to have worked since then.
I'm not a family person. I worked with thousands of children and was glad to come home to peace and quiet. I get on ok with friends' children, there's a reasonable chance that some of them might visit me in the nursing home if I make it that far.

I had mine done 10 years ago. One side was done and dusted in minutes the other side was a bit more problematic as I had scar tissue from an undescended testicle op I had a a kid. Anaesthetic was starting to wear off and dr stopped. Was a possibility I would have to go back and have it done under a general anaesthetic.
In the end we discovered I had managed to have 2 kids whilst only firing from one barrel.
It is great though as you get to say to your partner right I am off for a wank now!! Drs orders.

I had mine done a few months back. It's uncomfortable and aches for a few days after. The first time you cum is a anxiety ride as you wait to see if it's normal or unicorn cum. I had the snip several years ago, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, what they don't tell you is that the anaesthetic doesn't always work on the tubes (or they messed it up) and there's no way to know until they snip them, I was one of them. The "dissolvable" stitches never dissolved and I ended up removing them myself, because after a short time the way they had stitched me hurt, they had overlapped the skin. |
