I have the filter on so that i cannot be messaged by people who have no public picture but yet still i receive messages from profiles with no public picture.
Yes i know you can ignore them
Yes i know a public picture isn't proof of authenticity
Yes i know there are ways around the filter
My question is the filter worth having on if it doesn't work? |

"They might put a picture to public, send the message, take it off public.
I think it is worth having it on "
I understand the work around. So why have the filter if its so easily out manoeuvred? |

I think it does deter some from. Sending a message ie those who won't add pic's , but it still allows those with only friends pics to message, so it's not brilliant. You still get the blank avatar sending a message |

I'm not sure the filter works because sometime I might do a search abd check the 'show profiles with public pictures' box, and yet the search results will still show profiles with no public pictures |

It's a shame the system isn't sophisticated enough to defeat this work around.
What is more a shame is that people waste their time by trying to waste your time with such skulduggery. What's wrong with people? Isn't it clear that if you've desperate enough to try and bypass such filters your the wrong person anyways. |
