I have hidden my profile as no longer looking for new meets yet am still getting lots of messages and friend invites is there anyway of stopping these without deleting my profile. I don't understand why people are still messaging me when they can't see any details |

people who you have messaged and they have not deleted them can still see that message and click to your profile. Also anyone on your friends list can see if you are online (though if hidden they cannot read your profile text) |

As said, anyone on your friends list, or people who have messaged you before, can still contact you.
You would have to delete your account, or clear your friends list and block all types of people to receive no messages. |

yes anyone who you have messaged before will not be affected by the block unless you block them individualy  |

its catch 22 as by posting on the forum you are showing you profile and people can click on it. only way to stay discreet is block unwanted, hide profile and ONLY message privately. anything posted publicly will leave a link to your page and allow people to click on send message. |
