Now I realise I'm gonna get shouted down by the world and his wife, but I'm going to ask anyway:-
Why, oh why do people post something like this 'PLEASE NOTE: NO PICTURE AND I WILL DELETE THE MESSAGE, AND WONT BOTHER REPLYING, AND I DONT WANT TO SEE YOUR COCK FFS A FACE PIC IS WHAT I WANT, AS IT SAVES TIME. ' on their profile when their OWN profile doesn't have a single picture on it?? (not one, not even in friends only).
Is it OK to be so demanding? and does anyone actually try to make contact?
There are many many profiles like this, (this was actually from one of the fairly mild ones), quite a lot are simple a list of demands together with a list of 'donts' and no pictures.
Not trying to pick any form of argument here, but personally I wouldn't ever consider trying to contact someone who has such an aggressive manor on their profile PARTICULARLY if there isn't the slightest inclination of what they look like or in fact even exist.
Very confused by this and interseted if there is an reasoning behing it. |

Yeah I've seen some profiles demanding face pics with first message but they go on to say don't expect a face pic till they want to send one so don't ask or you'll be blocked
To me if you expect a face pic you should be willing to do same. We never demand a pic but if someone sends face pic we reply with one.
And we would never reply to a profile demanding a face pic with first message as you have no idea who you are sending it to. That's just how we feel I'm sure others feel differently. |

Quite simple - they want to check you out
If they fancy you, you might get a picture back
If they don't, you won't
I have a policy that if someone shares a face pic with me, I will send them one back even if I don't find them attractive as I believe trust should work both ways.
The only exception to that is if the pic is patently ripped off the net.
If nothing else, it shows them that they haven't missed out on much
I can understand why ladies don't do this though as to some guys any reply will be seen as approval / interest.
Seriously tho, if it pisses you off so badly, don't message them.
Remember though, you are just as likely to get no reply from a profile that doesn't state this as one that does.
Only you have control over your pictures and their distribution - no one else, so exert that control as YOU see fit and no one else. |

Because they can. It's their profile and their choice that they only want to respond to people they are attracted to. It obviously works for them. I daresay they have private pics to send.
There are obviously a lot of people who will not be comfortable with this, but again that's their choice just move on to someone else

well you got no public facepics and no verifications, your not standing out from the crowd
often people want public face pics on show on profile to show you are not attached or have anything to hide (less complications and probs more chance they will actually meet)
you can rant but it wont get you any meets, you can not show your face pic and wait a long time to try and get some action or show it and things will probally happen alot quicker
if they not showing then fair enough, but they probally dont need to show to get meets, where you look like you probally do! just the way the site works, fair or not!
also when u rant about other peoples profiles it only leaves you looking like the crazy one, not them lol |

OK, some people have replied on this BUt have missed the point I was trying to make.
It wasn't a 'rant' or a complaint, it was a question.
I wasn't complaining about 'no face pic' at all, I was pointing out about the profiles without ANY pictures at all (public or private) that demanded a face pic from on on first contact.
My question was 'does anyone actually make contact with these people?'
For example:
For all you know the 'person' could be your boss, a co-worker, your childs teacher, one of your neighbours, your doctor, your bank manager, your ex-wife ! Get the idea? Lets's face it 99.9% of people probably wouldn't consider contacting people they know in these situations.
I like to think I'm descrete in this kind of situation, I have found someone on here that I work with occasionally, I imediatly blocked them to avoid any 'work gossip', next time I see them I won't mention it.
What would you do if you accidently contacted one of your neighbours? |

I think that it is up to people what they choose to display on their profile, we have face shots in our private gallery and happy to send one via a message like Bussy said above, if we receive one, we will send one.
I would say to any of the scenarios you have pointed out, they are doing the same thing as you, so why worry?
We have met people that do not have any face pics on here, but have emailed them/text, horses for courses. |

I totally understand where you're coming from. Some dive straight in with pic requests as they feel without any form of attraction there's no point in progressing.
I disagree with this train of thought - but that's just my view. I've clearly stated in my profile text that a first message with 'face pic please!' won't get people anywhere.
To me - if i'm interested in someone i'll send a message first inviting them to browse - if they get in touch i'll then swap a few messages to get more of an idea about them. Once it seems possible a meet - social or play is likely - only then will I send a pic. Yes there's the rare occasion that the conversation grinds to a halt - not because I look like Roy Hattersly but becasuse i've been played - but these instances are few and far between these days. Communicating with 'meet verified' folk never seems to produce this result. Newbies? I do like to give them the benefit of the doubt as we all had to start somewhere - but these are the ones i'm more careful with.
At the end of the day - set yourself some rules - and stick to them! Genuine people will understand and in general work to the same priciples. The 'fakes' - or whatever you choose to call them - tend to be obvious and can easily be avoided.
And if someones 'do's and dont's' list or demands doesn't float your boat - move on - there's plenty more fab fish in the fab ocean!!
Good luck! |

The OP obviously doesn't know that pics can be kept PRIVATE away from public and friends....
OP....people can have face pics that they attach ONLY to messages.....check out your own photo options and you will see.... |

"The OP obviously doesn't know that pics can be kept PRIVATE away from public and friends....

Again - missing the point of the original question!! I'll try word it differently to see if everyone gets it
Forget 'private' pictures as this doesn't come into it until AFTER they have agreed to chat.
THE QUESTION
If someones profile has very minimum information on it, no pictures, no 'friends' pictures, BUT demands FACE picture from you on first contact without which you have the threat of deletion and blocking, would YOU contact them ? |

I just simply block or filter out people who dont have any form of picture with their profile. The same goes for people who have been on the site for at least six months with no verifications. |

Whatever happened to clicking off of a profile that doesn't suit you?
It's not a difficult concept....if you see something on a profile you don't like the look or sound of then simply click off of it and click on another...there are tens of thousands after all. |

Face pics mean dog all half of the time anyway, as people have different levels of photogenicity (Have I made that word up? lol), different levels of honesty of how old pictures are etc. I'd rather meet and check 'em out as I've had both nasty and pleasant surprises.
Have little time for folk obsessed by face pics, if they look at my profile then they can look at my arse, it's not dissimilar to my face anyway!
In my opinion, these people are not worth a fuck, in every sense of the phrase |
