So someone just asked me why I joined fab in the first place
So for me I’d just come out of a long term abusive relationship and was struggling with the whole online dating and felt very vulnerable and really couldn’t get my head around trusting anyone so a friend recommended fab
I came on and felt that I was in control there were no blurred lines no emotional connections people on here were being honest about what they wanted not pretending to be looking for the one and messing with your head on here it was sex and if you were lucky a nice cuppa and a lunch date with someone you could talk about pretty much anything to
I felt empowered I was in control I regained my power and felt like I had the hold over men not the other way around, I became stronger and less fearful of men, I wasn’t being manipulated anymore and sex became enjoyable and exciting and I was getting what I wanted and not giving what someone else was taking from me
The biggest surprise from being on fab was the awesome friendships that I’ve made, I’m 13 years on and off fab and have made some amazing friends, so many folk with similar experiences to share, less filtered conversations and massive amounts of support. Whilst my get up and go has gone these days I feel like this is my safe place where o can be depressed and not feel like I’m dragging everyone down and have open and frank discussions without upsetting most folk though there are a few that will always be upset no matter what you say or do on here. |
