To make love to someone and not want to be in a committed relationship with the person you’re making love to? I guess like casual sex but intimate and loving

(Just a genuine question that’s piqued today’s interest from a film I’m watching!)

Entirely possible and much preferable.

Making love with a friend, but leading seperate lives can be done. If you find someone you can confide in, share the most intimate moments with, but can't and won't enter a committed relationship with is tricky but achievable. It makes the sex fantastic and you can even meet up for a social catch up without being in each others pockets.

I know some seperate sex and lovemaking, keeping sex for fab and lovemaking for their significant other.

A wise person put it beautifully to me once... You can love different people for different reasons and sometimes you can love them at the same time. Monogamy has conditioned us that we have to go "all in" with one person. Life isn't that clear cut.

I'd agree with what you say in your initial reply

Guildford

Sex without love involved doesn't mean it's not going to be passionate.

But I think that is built up more over time with someone. I've a few friends who I've met regularly and it's more intense each time we meet. But we're never going to be in love with each other.

This absolutely. I would never have thought it possible to love 2 different men at the same time, but it is and it's one of the most amazing feelings ever x
