Why do existing fab members start new profiles? In my year on here I've seen loads of people ditch old profiles and start new ones. What's the benefit when they lose all their veris....especially at a time when it's more difficult to meet? Often I've seen them come back with same name and similar pics and profile wording. This isn't judgement, just for my own curiosity and understanding. Thanks

I get that but it's so easy just to hide, cleanse friends list, change name, hide or show veris etc |

I think some delete their profile to avoid the temptation of coming on and off once they’ve decided to leave. Could be to concentrate on something else, because they’ve met someone, or just simply bored of trawling |

I think you have nailed it with this, I couldn't agree more.

"Or because they have been blocked by so many people they start again?
"
That sounds about right. I guess the other way round also....if you end up blocking a lot of people it can be worth starting again. You cant get to the start of your block list that easily! |

This is my 4th profile in just over 4 years.
First lasted about 6 or 8 weeks and then I rejoined 6 months later but personal circumstances caused me to leave again after a couple of months. I wasn't verified so that wasn't an issue.
My third profile was well verified but I hid it and took a break for almost a year.
On coming back a lot of things had changed personally and I took the decision to start afresh which I did and this profile is almost 2 years old.
There are many reasons to start new profiles but I would be more concerned about those who have numerous profiles running parallel.

It's simply.... Men pretending to be couples getting caught out, we've just had one, straight away the profile has disappeared. Make of that what you want. |

This too isn't always an indicator of a problem. I have two, when I used to moderate chat it was handy to have a spare account for the nights I'd had a drink and couldn't moderate that effectively. A friend of mine who enjoys bdsm has one that is kinky and one that is vanilla. Its best not to worry too long over what others are doing and just practice due diligence with those you may one day meet. |

I rarely concern myself with what others are doing and am always diligent.
That diligence however also extends to those who use multiple accounts to troll both on the forums and beyond and as honeytraps.
I've never been a victim so I could always turn a blind eye but then again if everyone did that nothing would ever change.

I deleted mine last year when i started to receive threats of exposure to my family /work and photos of my front door at night from an ex who knew my profile name on Fab. I slept for 3 weeks with the lights on and the door bolted as i was very frightened at the time
I eventually rejoined using a different name and changed my photo style (ditched my USP grey wall). I've now relaxed again and recently changed my profile name... but I'm very easy to find now, so expect at some point i will disappear /change again if (when) it starts again |

We played with a couple in a club who not long after deleted their profile, then got a new profile again 2 months later. When we saw them, they said "We've been busy and had a new kitchen fitted". More likely is they had a fall out. Another couple who host club nights deleted and came back nearly 10 years younger! |

I use the same password for everything and a "friend" found out we we on here and accessed our account. No probs with anyone knowing we are on here but needed a new account and lost all our verries. M |

I think it's sometimes frustration ie getting nowhere so leave in a paddy.
Some maybe to get round blocks or filters of others
If I get bored/fed up I just hide my profile for a while and don't log on for a bit. |

Sometimes logging out isn't enough, I needed a complete break from the site so deleted our account. Came back when I was ready and reached out to previous playmates to get my verifications back. It's also good to start again knowing certain things you wouldn't as newbies, can have a better experience second time round. |
