That dreaded feeling of dysphoria

So this is mainly for trans, but I wanted to open a topic about that dreaded feeling of dysphoria that trans women and men go through.

Do you still get it and how intense is it when you do? I usually go in quite a downward spiral when it happens and can’t seem to like myself at all. Then I start to pick myself apart and hate on things that in my head I find still too masculine about myself.

Like recently I’m hating on my shoulder/arms as I find them not not delicate enough, or it could be my voice , or even something stupid like my eyebrows.

I know a lot of the times it’s in our head, but I just wanted to open up more about it and hear from you on what your experience is on the matter, and what triggers it, and how often do you get that dreaded feeling x

Maidstone

I would suggest going to your GP and ask to be referred to the Charing Cross Gender Identity Clinic.

They are trained counsellors that specialises in Gender Dysphoria.

You don't have to want to go full time or surgery but just speak to a gender identity specialist.

You'lll be amazed how you are not alone and your feelings are part of the condition. They will help you explore the issues.

Good luck honey!
