Is it just us that's suddenly getting loads of interest from new profiles who are complete non-matches, etc and seem quite OK with meeting at the moment, without actually saying so, like they're hoping we'll make the first move? Send friend invites immediately, all the usual malarky but somehow not quite the same as a sad lone guy would be. My money says the C19 police, reporters, vigilantes, whoever, are trying to entice someone into doing an illegal meet.
Appreciate it's difficult for anyone genuinely trying to break into the scene at the moment but suggest everyone should be really careful not to be enticed into doing anything unlawful, or even suggesting that something unlawful is done!
You've got to admit it would make a great NotW story and would suit the Govt very nicely indeed to keep the heat on 'irresponsible law breakers who are killing people' rather than themselves. Please stick to the question above rather than getting into another discussion about which side is responsible and which is killing more people, there is a whole C19 area of the forum for that sort of thing! Just wondering if it's just us or is this increase in specific and unusual contacts actually a thing? |

Honestly I wouldn’t notice a difference, as I delete all friend requests and winks without even looking at them, and I delete the vast majority of my messages. I also report anyone who even hints at wanting to meet now. |

There's more people joining as they have even less to do then normal but can't say the standard of messages has changed.....I actually really can't as I just delete unread unless its someone I actually correspond with
As for these people being anything other then the normal scatter guns that message every single person they possibly can, I highly doubt it |

The Twitter page that went up shaming people from the north west that were meeting on here has been taken down. Was full of face photos will only be a matter of time before the sun has a story saying Randy swingers still meeting during covid lockdown To give the scene a bad name again. |

Can't say we've noticed any more than normal really but then asking for meetings now is going to stand out far more than it would have done just a year ago.
I don't think it's entrapment, the authorities have far too much on to bother with that and the media don't have to go too far to find obvious breaches of rules they can report. If they were trying it on they'd make sure their profiles were a perfect match to give the best chance of reeling their 'victims' in. |

We do get a lot of messages from newcomers to the scene asking to meet etc we try and point out that they should first get to now site rules before jumping in with both feet and yes friend requests by the barrow load we also recommend they read profiles as it’s is on ours we don’t accept them if this fails we report them |

I don't think you need to go undercover to find out if people are meeting.. Just look at status updates
Meets requested, requests for snow (not the stuff that falls from the sky), money etc.. |

I think it’s just got more to do with lockdown boredom tbh. Lots of new people on the site who don’t know how it works, haven’t bread the rules and don’t particularly care. |

On top of that there is someone in London who creates dozens of accounts every month with the same profile text. I keep reporting them but it seems like nothing's happening.
They've been doing this for the past 12 months. |

I think it's boredom, trolls, and catfish.
I got a couple of the same messages from two different accounts today. They sent out a pic to me immediately and asked for a face pic. When I said I got the same message from another account they deleted both. |

I've noticed someone relatively local to me set up another profile, near identical to their existing, time served profile. I could think of no valid reason for this, until now.
Perhaps the want to use that account to meet during lockdown, and are happy to sacrifice it if busted? |

"Loads of meet requests of new profiles . Block / delete
Not just new profiles! Drug references as well!
So glad my profile is hidden, I would not like such messages. "
They've been on people's status on my local updates! |

During 1st lockdown new users changed and numbers increased a lot. Their messages were below the usual sad levels you get and most of us won't be interested in that sort of person. Perhaps they could find each other?
It's good to be alert, not to give out very personal information and not to lower standards.
I'm too excruciatingly slow for most people during normal times, so any entrapment plan would need to play the long game, possibly for the next epidemic. |

I was pretty out spoken about the fact that the fab updates features driving all the meets.
I had no idea about the North West Twitter campaign outing meeting swingers on Fab....wow.
Me and another poster who has been banned for speaking out were contacted by an account very recently claiming to be a reporter working on the story.
They seemed to have a very good understanding of the challenges been faced by community members out raged that no action was (and still hasn't) been taken, members speaking out on the issue been banned from the forums, forum threads been deleted.
The said they were collating a wide range of screenshots and evidence and wanted quotes from active members.
I personally told them I wasn't interested and blocked them.
Believe it or not myself and K enjoy the Fab website, have many friends on here and very much value the fab website and community. The last thing we want is to see the site and swingers taking a kicking in the main stream media. I hope Admin / Owners see this thread before it gets deleted.

It's hard to tell, but I think we should all be careful about what we say on here. Recently when I posted on the forums general info about a naturist spa that opened briefly when the lockdown eased, I received a number of messages both directly and in the forum from people I don't know asking me about what sex had been going on there. |
