I had one done with a fab studio in Altrincham called Curve Studios...
I won the experience in a competition but just be prepared to fork out for the pictures. A full set at that studio is about £600. If you have any other questions, feel free to drop me a message. |

We've had a few.
Take your favourite lingerie, but wear a loose fitting dress until you're ready for the shoot, that way you won't have strap lines in your pictures.
Make sure you know the score in advance - re costs, prints, photo disc etc.
Check if you'll both be allowed in - we had one guy say no partners, so told him to stuff it.
Relax and enjoy it! |

"Anyone have experience having a boudoir photoshoot done?
I want to arrange something as a surprise for A.
Any tips/tricks from your experiences?"
I arranged one as a suprise for K and absolutely loved it. I took him to the studio when the photos were ready and the look on his face was priceless. We chose 3 and still love them.
Enjoy if you do go for it,
T xx

Done a couple where you "win a competition" or throyfh a Groupon deal and get the experience free/cheap, then they talk you into buying a lot of photos for several hundreds of pounds.
It's a really fun thing to do, but can be a bit rushed. You get to do a couple of outfit changes and they have all sorts of scenery and props. They do your hair and makeup so good to have a meal out afterwards as well.

Good advice. Have done a few times as gifts and most are quite mediocre and risk averse artists, won’t allow partners in and do the same old formula of poses and lighting, you can spot the pics on here (lots of airbrushing and the wall pose) and give you one for free and try and sell you overpriced rubbish.
Before you buy any think about what you really want them for , what will you do with them ? Hide them in a draw after the initial excitement probably, offer them £100 for the lot digital copies if they are any god, or just walk away with your freebie.
Would be nice to find an artist doing something a bit different and creative |

"During these shoots, are they solely poses or ‘captured moments’ in sexy lingerie?
I would be more interested if my partner & I were more intimate, showing penetration etc?"
Ours have been a mixture of poses & captured moments.
Add for being "more intimate", we've had some of those too, but you'll need to discuss this with the photographer in advance. |

Have done one as a present for my husband. Read reviews on where you go, if you don’t relax or settle down it’ll be a wasted day. Also be sure if what costs what before you go in so you aren’t in the spot when it comes to selecting/pricing. A decent studio should be quite clear on costs. |

"So people still really believe they ‘win’ a photo shoot? "
I know, right? But it's a ploy that seemingly works time and time again. Very hard sell at the end...
I've done lots of boudoir shoots and its not how I operate but each to their own. |

Have a conversation with the photographer first, if you don't feel comfortable just talking to them i imagine a boudoir shoot will be fairly awkward or just won't happen.. talking beforehand gives you a chance to discuss what you want out of the session, the photographer can make suggestions and show previous work, but ultimately the session is all about you!
Think also about what your after the photos for... a little something for the other half, something to put on the wall or both!
If possible get the pricing upfront, this way you know what to expect, sounds obvious but its better than having a nasty surprise...
On the day of the shoot wear loose clothing to the studio and bring the clothes you wish with you..
Good luck! |

I've had one and it was brilliant if you book the one that does hair and makeup it makes it more special. The prints can be expensive and a little touched up, but I loved the experience and J was pleased with the pics Px |

I was bought a boudoir photo shoot for my birthday by my longterm FWB. They were brilliant, did my makeup and hair and suggested different poses, and always made me feel at ease with lots of friendly chat, coffee etc. I was glad that both the photographer and makeup artist were female. My only regret was that I beached my hair the day beforehand, because I’d always wanted to try blond. This meant that along with the makeup the pictures don’t look as much like me as I would like. |

Had a couples one done a couple of years ago. Was a fabulous day, great laugh and not in any conceited way, was blown away by the results, amazing how the right photographer can bring out the inner vixen in you lol |

Half of the boudoir experience is getting made up by a pro make up artist. Lots of photographers on here may offer a boudoir photo shoot but if you're going to do it, do it right and get the full package.
(I've never had a full package boudoir shoot myself but have done plenty of makeover shoots to know the difference - I think most photographers on here would faint if I turned up as a guy and asked them to do my makeup!) |

"I am based in London. Happy to do to do tfp
I mostly do do fashion
Happy to discus and build chemistry"
With the amount of chemistry you're always trying to build you should apply for a job at Glaxo Smithkline Beecham. |
