Does anyone else think that there should be a reduced price for silver and gold on fab during lockdown? We can't use all the features, no meets advertised. |

Or don't renew or pay at all. What's the point |

Nope.
You can't post meets and the club section is closed. That's all. If that's what you paid for only then don't renew. |

Membership is free. The site supporters "donations" just give you "perks" such as better mailbox, better cams, more photo allowance, no adverts etc... none of these are effected by the current situation.

And so this daft conundrum pops it silly head up again.
Either pay or don't and get the extras that subscription gives you or not.
Its not like your £5 buys you sex anyway OP so the choice is yours. |

Never even thought about it before.
But if anything think these guys are being really socially responsible by not having the meets section working and doing what they can to stop the stupid from ignoring advice.
If anyone feels the need to meet during a pandemic, says a lot about them and what/who they value. |

"Does anyone else think that there should be a reduced price for silver and gold on fab during lockdown? We can't use all the features, no meets advertised. " . I was able to access the meets and events page and send messages to whoever was organising the meet or event before Covid19 and I was not a site supporter.I took out membership so that I could view videos and contact site supporters who would only accept messages from other site supporters.I have no problem paying the current price as I like the fact that it’s not recurring billing like other sites

I'm happy to keep spending my £5 for God knows how many days, it's hardly going to break the bank.

To the OP, I don't think so no
It has amazed me since this Covid started at how many people want something for nothing and not just on here. There are firms and business's going to the wall and people expect something for free from them, it is most odd.
For this site, you can use it for free, you didn't pay for meets before and you won't pay for meets when it is open again but you can use the rest of the site for free as normal |

As others have said, the site is free, your five pounds silver membership every 60 days just gets you extra perks, like who has looked at me,the option of uploading extra photos, private notes etc,so unless you absolutely need these perks you could stop paying and still enjoy the site
Incidentally, what do you think would be a fair price to reduce silver membership to? |

Two things reek of desperation here:
Joining during a pandemic and expecting physical meets while not legal;
Complaining about the cost of a voluntary donation (in order to meet against current laws).
Have you considered contacting Fab and asking for a reduction? If you word your proposal well and they don't go down to £4.99, at least you tried. |

While I believe Fabs is excellent value for money, and I know many have been critical of the OP, this is a useful place to say how important it is to support the Scene financially where we can, whether it is being a site supporter, the online virtual club meets, etc. A financially viable swinging space is to the benefit of all who love the Lifestyle. |

A lot of posts tried this earlier in the year.
It's a tiny change in features and supporters help to keep the site running. If they knocked a penny off, you could have standard membership plus help the site. |

There are bound to be overheads!! It's not exactly a huge fee if you decide to subscribe... you should check out other similar sites. A lot more expensive and crap (in my humble opinion!!) |

Apart from the obvious no meets issue or club ads. Nothing has really changed. You get the cams, videos, ability to host more pics etc. Its a fiver. Just dont renew if it's that big an issue.
It still costs what it costs to host the site and stuff.

Instead of paying less I'd be happy to pay more if a percentage could be given to the clubs to keep them going at this time. Total Fab membership x 1 or 2 quid per month, may just save some establishments shutting down... |

And to make it a little more realistic, single guys would have to pay more and ladies pay nothing. Nope |

Not at all. It works out as pence per day and the site needs our support. |

No. If you want to things to still be available to you after Covid, you’ve got to do your bit to protect them during Covid. |

Definitely think there should be a bronze membership. There’s very little you can do on the site without being a silver member. |

I’ve got gold supporter membership till next May, I also help support my local club with direct debit donation. I haven’t even been to said club this year.
You only get back what you put in !
Another example of the current

No, if you don’t like it just don’t pay for the time being.
It’s not that much for the membership and it’s not compulsory to do so. It gives you perks over the members that have the basic free Site membership.
The money does help keep the site up and running too.

Maybe it should be mandatory £5, with no free option. It would stop a huge amount of the fake profiles.... especially the losers who create multiple ones. |

Unfortunately it wouldn't. The fakes also populate sites which are far more expensive than fab, with no functionality for free accounts. |
